I read on a thread written by a CM that they love staying at the AS resorts but avoid them in the summer. We are considering staying in the All Stars for 4 days at the beginning of our 12 night stay this summer. Then switching to CSR and finally AKL. (Either that or staying at CR, Dolphin and AKL but that's a differnet story...I can't sem to make up my mind). :D

Is there a particular reason the All Stars are "worse" in the summer? I was under the impression that they were pretty much busy all year. Also are the pool areas big enough to accomodate 2000 or so rooms? We thought the CBR pool was pretty small and fairly crowded in March (can't imagine it in the summer).

Thanks for any help :D

The All-Stars are by far the most popular resorts on property, and are busy year round. However, during the summer months, they do tend to get extra busy. But then again, so does everywhere else on property.

As long as you know it's going to be busy, I don't think you'll have a problem. Staffing is increased, and bus transportation is increased as well. We rise to meet the demands.

You did not say when you were going this summer. We have been there several times in early June and they really did not seem very crowded. I am sure they get worse latter in the summer but they seem to do a good job with there buses and food court so I would bet you would be okay.

Thanks for your replies! We will be going the first week in June.:D Anyone know how crowded the pools are then at the All Stars? Glad to hear the transportationa dnfood courts will be manageable! BTW we've always had wonderful bus service at our resorts:D .

There is a tendency to put larger tour groups in All-Star Music, so I would choose one of the other two to avoid those crowds. They are usually placed in the back of the resort (country music section) so there is really no problem with them directly by your room, but they are in the courtyards and they can be quite loud. The larger pools can be busy at times, but there are several pools to choose from, so one can always move to a different pool if it gets too hectic. The cafeteria's are quite large and can hold a lot of people so although it can be busy at times, the waits are truly not that bad. Hope this helps!
