Does any one know for sure if they have added the All Star Resorts to check in the luggage for SW? When we were there in May, they said they were going to add them soon.

I have heard nothing to suggest that SWA has expanded their participation in RAC beyond the trial at POP at this time.

SW Blog said the 3 All Star resorts were going to be added 10/14. A couple of posters promosies us updated information when they return from WDW.

That's right - Southwest Airlines has now expanded the Luggage Checkin Program to all THREE ALL-STAR Resorts as well as continuing at the POP Century Resort.

I know the volume of luggage and Customers will outway the other airlines, so this is a true test for all the remaining Disney Resorts so they can plan and program as needed.

I for one am SOOOOOO excited this has finally begun in Disneyworld! I like to think I had something to do with it - but I really didn't - just another guy wishing I could use it to my advantage while on Vacation!

It's sooooooooo easy to use and such a great feeling to not have to worry about your luggage and wait in any Ticket Counter lines at MCO!

I know Southwest would LOVE to hear feedback on this topic from anyone out there...so feel free to send us a message:

:cool1::woohoo::yay::cheer2:

I hope it goes well and they continue with it in December. We love having our luggage delivered to the room from SW. Now it will be so much easier going home.

Can someone fill me in on this. We will be at Pop, but not taking ME - does this eliminate us from using it? We will be getting a rental car, but would love to not have to haul the 2 big suitcases and just head to security.

Thanks,
Val.

You will be able to use the RAC service at POP. RAC is completely separate from DME and there is not even a soft requirement that you use the DME buses to take advantage of the RAC service. The RAC desk is open from 5:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and you can check bags no sooner than 12 hours before your scheduled flight departure and no later than three hours before. If your flight time allows for this, you can use RAC.

You should either use the EBCI service or check in separately 24 hours in advance of your flight to obtain your boarding numbers, however, as waiting until 12 hours before your flight (at best) to check in with RAC likely means less favorable boarding numbers. Just use EBCI or do the online check in to get your boarding numbers, then use RAC to check your bags (and get your printed boarding passes if you don't already have them).

That is fantastic!!!! :cool1:Thanks for the info! With 2 small kids, 2 car seats, 2 umbrella strollers, and 2 carry ons, not having to haul our luggage to the airport is huge for us! Yeah SW for joining the list of RAC participating airlines!!!!!!

Thanks again!
Val.
