Trying to decide. Anyone have an opinion or wanna throw in another option?

I'm sorry that this is not in response to your request (I've never stayed in a Premier home) but rather to your screen name.

I see that you are "The Schultz Five" and that you come from NJ. I, too, am a Schultz (by marriage) and we also live in NJ. Our name is spelled the same as yours (often you either don't see the "c" or the "t"). Maybe there is some hidden relation between my husband and your family.

Such a small world and strange coincidence.

Janet Schultz

I too am married to a Schultz. My fil's first name is Robert and I believe they are from northern NJ(my DH was born in Jersey city)

My FIL was named Joseph and they came from Brooklyn.

I just looked at your sig line and saw your husband is named Charles. Dh's grandfather was Charles Schultz. So funny.

Where in NJ are you? We're in NW Jersey (Morris County). My sons are 7 (2/98) and 2.5 (7/02).

Janet

We are in South Jersey(Burlington County). Does your get misspelled on almost everything. Everyone thinks they know how to spell it b/c hey know someone with the same name or something but it always winds up different. You can see from my sig my kids and their ages(yes, that's 3 girls). I keep hearing about Jersey week and I wish we could go then but Nov. vacations are hard(Dh works for UPS and that is beginning the "Santa's helper" period. Maybe one day though.

All Stars - If you can, ALWAYS stay on site.
We can't do All star(unless we get 2 rms). Our original plan was to stay at POP this time, but we wanted to try off site for the first time.

That's exactly what we were asking ourselves. I mean there really isn't an advantage for us. We are such a large group(and getting larger by the day it seems, my father might be coming with us) that it dosen't make sense. We're going in Oct. so I'm not worried about early entry, we'll have plenty of time. The buses are convenient but at the end of the night when you see the line for the bus and all your kids want to be picked up b/c they're so tired, it would be easier to just get in the car. Even if you have to sit in traffic(which I'm sure we will) at least they will be sitting down and probably asleep by the time we get out of the parking lot. maybe there's something I'm not thinking about. But after 4 on site stays, I'm ready to try something new. a nice house with a private pool and bbq that my whole family can stay in together sounds good to me.

you know I think someone did a review on Premier and maybe all stars - but it has been a while.

can you do a search?

This is such a small world. I am not a Schultz, but I was born and raised in Jersey City and now I live in Burlington County too! Bordentown to be exact.

We stayed in a great vacation home last year, well two as there were 20 of us and we adored it. It was nice to all have our own space and have a private pool.

I wish I could recommend the service we used but I can't remember their name and even though things worked out well, next time we'll be using vrbo and renting straight from the owner so we know exactly which house we'll be getting.

Good luck!

Alot of people seemed to be concerned with seeing exactly what house they're getting. Have there been problems, that you know of, where the house wasn't as advertised? I thought they were all pretty much the same when you rent through a company(maybe different colors or something minor). Please correct me if I'm wrong b/c if there have been problems with that then I too would rather go through an owner directly.

I think most people mean that if you book direct with an owner you know where the home is what exactly it has in it and can ask any questions you like as you have direct contact with the one person who will know the home inside out and what it has in it and what it hasn't .

Well we got houses the right size one 4 bdr and one 5 bdr and they were lovely. We asked for a specific neighborhood though and didn't get it.

I will say though that we were all of maybe a 15 minute drive to WDW and in a lovely neighborhood. And we needed our two houses close together, we ended up on the same street 4 houses apart it was just fine.

In all we had a great time and the only really "bad" things I can say are it wasn't the neighborhood we requested and there were not enough towels for the amount of people we had in the house (which was w/in their limit). Oh and the company we used changed names in the middle of our dealings with them (from the time we reserved until we got there) and gave two memebers of our party incorrect directions to the office to pick up the keys.

So while it was really minor things, and I woulnd't discount doing it the same way again, I think we prefer to go straight to the owner next time.

That wasn't either one of the ones I was asking about was it?

I don't belive so, it was a smaller company and for the life of me I have no clue what it changed it's name to. I asked my MIl also since she paid for the second house and she doesn't remember either. I"m so sorry.

Like I said, it wasn't a bad experience, but next time I'd like to know exactly the house we're getting.

I know you'll enjoy a house though, it was a blessing for everyone to have their own space, to have our own pool and to be able to cook if we wanted.
