All star or Premier vacation homes

So how many meals did you actually eat at the house? Did you go back mid-day or just stay at the parks all day? I was thinking of eating break. at the house, going to the parks all day(eating lunch there) and then getting dinner at the house. Does that sound do-able or no? Did you bbq? Did you take snacks with you to the park from the house? I know, I know, so many ?'s right?

Well had it been up to only me we would have gotten up early to get to the parks, but when you have 20 people and you're the only early bird that doesn't happen.

We had dinner at the hosue the first night, breakfast there daily. And I cooked two or three other nights as well (one of those was our break day from the parks). We did take snacks with us to the parks and frozed bottles of water, but ended up eating more at the parks than we had planned. I dont know that the house had a bbq? I knwo even if it did we didn't use it.

My dh and I came home around 3 or so a few days (we had left around 10) b/c my youngest was under 2 and needed some down time. The others for the most part stayed from the time they showed up at 10 until after the fireworks. We went back two or three times in the evenings as well, it was very doable.

When my dh comes home from Iraq we're going again just us and my Mom so we'll be up and at the parks early, home for a break and then back in the evening. I do plan on having a sit down meal or two this time though at the parks :).

hi tara

i'm actually a first time poster! but i was in the same boat as you, deciding which company to go with to rent off site. Our trip is in two weeks, but I can say so far we've had a good experience with the company orlando vacation homes. we are renting a townhome for $109 a night (3 bedrms/3 baths/hot tub) three miles from disney. this all sounds good and in 4 weeks i'll; post to let everyone know how it was!

I booked a 6 bedroom and 3 1/2 bath with All Star for an upcoming trip in May. I had no problems with them. You can go on there website and choose the house you want. I used the Orlando magic card and got $256.00 off the price. I will post a review when I return. Our trip is 05/27-06/05/05 for 14.

We used Premier for our first off site rental in 2001. The home was beautiful and maybee a year old. The company was great to deal with. We now book our own homes thru www.vrbo.com you deal directly with the owners and receive a discount over the rental companies. We've used VRBO for WDW, Gulf coast, Hawaii and find them to be very easy to find a home.

Yeah guys, please let me know how things work with these companies. We're also considering Mouse pad vacation homes. Thanks for all the help and info. have a great time on your trips.

I am using a site called villas4all.com You can choose the area, look at pics, then deal directly with the owner. Really like it!

thanks I have seen it so many times and decided I had to ask I would never have figured it out.

We booked a house through AllStar Vacation homes for this November. This will be my second trip to Disney as an adult. Last time we stayed on site (All Star Movies). There were 21 of us. Each family had their own hotel room(s). It was great but my husband and I hated that we had to go to bed when the kids did (we had two small children 4&2 at that time). This time there will be 10 of us and we are staying in a house. There will be 4 small kids with us - 6, 4, 2, and 1 1/2). I think this experience will be totally different but still great. We got to pick the house (I think?? - hope they don't change it??) We needed 3 big beds (for couples) and then twins for the kids. I think we found what we needed. I will post a review when I return but I am so excited about our trip (that is still a long way away :rotfl2: )

We are staying 7 nights. We plan to get 3 day tickets to the parks and one day at Sea World. That will leave 3 days for rest and relaxation (and golf for the guys!) We didn't have any rest the last trip. I felt like since we were staying in the park - we needed to "do" Disney the whole time (and that was fantastic too!!!!). I am hoping we can go to the parks in the morning and stay all day and come back for dinner at the house. Then on the days when we stay home (and the littler kids get to nap) we can try and do restaurants for dinner. Breakfast will probably be at the house each day except for character breakfast days!
