This will be our first stay in a value (we are out of DVC points and want to get one final trip on our Annual Passes) over Memorial day weekend (Thur thru Monday).

Here are may questions:
1) All Star (Which one?) or Pop Century and why?
2) Heard about renovations to AS resorts, is it all rooms and all 3 resorts?
3) Where will we have a better chance of getting a King bed (my DW refuses to sleep with me in a Double) and what should we do with DS 6 (floor, rollaway - do they charge)

Thanks

all king beds at WDW resort only allow 2.

so you either get 2 rooms - or he can't have his king bed.

would go with Pop.

he can sleep with his son.... in a double (full) bed.

why pop - it is more new (to me anyway), love the frozen cokes, the Cm's just seem friendlier, the atmosphere is better - besides need the lake!!!

the all star don't have a lake.

I am a DVC member and we just spent six wonderful nights at All Star Music. I have stayed at all of the values and have to say Music is now my favorite. I was a little worried, it had been a couple of years since we stayed value and this trip it wasn't going to be just a night or two on a weekend to save some points, it was going to be the whole trip. We loved it. The poolside movies at night, the games in the afternoon have all helped to make the pools more enjoyable. I think Music has the nices landscaping and even though the resort was sold out and had lots of kids staying there for Grad Nights trips it didn't feel mobbed. We paid for preferred which was worth it to us. With only one bus stop that was very nice. We also had great busses. Contrary to popular belief, the All Stars to not always share busses. In fact we only shared a time or two and that was midday when we were going to the parks after a morning spent sleeping or lounging by the pool! At night, we never shared nor in the early mornings.

We took an airbed (twin sized) and it fit fine. We just propped it up during the day. The only way you will get a King Bed is if you do two rooms. Bring an airbed, then you and your wife can each have a double. I saw a rollaway outside one room but last time we did that (was at CSR) it was about $17 a night, the airbed is more convenient as you can prop it up and out of the way during the day. Bring your own bottom sheet, they have us an extra top sheet and blanket and we had two extra pillows in the room anyway.

Movies, has not been refurrbed, Sports is mostly done I believe. Only Music is 100% refurbished.

I think the landscaping, the newer rooms, pool games/movies all make Music a great choice. It was for us!

Thanks for the info! This is what I love about DIS! The problem is that it helps feed the addiction, we were just there the end of March and just gotta get back.:lmao:

The air bed sounds like the way to go. I think we are going to add Passholder dinning too. :rotfl2:
