Hi,

We are headed there on Friday, woo hoo!!

Do they still have games by the pool in the afternoon and movies in the evening? Or has that test program ended?

We checked out of ASMu this morning, and they were still doing them as of last night. The daily schedule we got showed:
3 - 5 pm Calypso pool games, contests, dancing
6 - 7 pm Other activities like karaoke, Nintendo Wii tournament, bingo
8 - 8:30 pm Calypso pool dance party
8:30 pm Movie night (e.g., Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Cars)

We are going over Christmas. The boys would love this. Especially the wii tournament. Ayone know if it will continue?

I wrote an email to WDW about the movie nights and pool games a few weeks ago. I said that the programs sound like they would be fun and that I would like to see them permanently scheduled at the All Stars. This was the reply:

Resort that is in a test mode. This program will only occur for a stort

It sounds like the pilot might not be staying much longer, but I do hope they'll try it again sometime. Perhaps if they get enough positive feedback, they may be encouraged to keep the program running.

I have also been in contact with All Star Music about the pilot program.
The activities use to run everyday stating at 1 PM.
In October they stated cutting the activities back.
At the present time they have some limited activities stating at 3 PM.
The Movie was moved up from 9 PM to 8:30 PM.

As of now, word is the cut back edition of the pilot program is suppose continue until Jan 26. There will only be 4 activities a day. They are still seeing how the pilot scores reflect guests needs/wants. The Yacht and Beach are also continuing at the same cut back level as the pilot program at All Star Music.

As with ALL things Disney this can change.
It is up to us (the guests) to make our voices heard.

So please if you are interested in having this program continue make your voices Heard.

Send in the emails, snail mail, and call. If you are staying at All Star Music in the couple months tell all the CM's you see at Music how much you enjoy the program. We need to spread the word.

The program is very expensive and they will only keep it if they think it really makes a difference!

At the very least, I'd love to see the nightly movie continue on a permanent basis, like the movies at Fort Wilderness. That can't be too expensive to run, can it? I know that it would require an extra cast member (or a couple of extra cms?) to run the movie, but that would be such a nice way to end a Disney Day if a nightly movie were shown at the resort. It would be an extra touch of pixie dust to All Star guests. I imagine that the movies would be popular, especially with the number of groups who stay at the All Stars.

I know that the pilot program is being done at All Star Music (central location to all All Star locations) but the nightly movie would also be a GREAT tie-in with the All Star Movies theme, too.

Just a quick FYI for anyone who wants to know, the movies for October are as follows:

Sunday - Hannah Montana Pop Star Profile
Monday - Toy Story 2
Tuesday - Peter Pan (Meet the Robinsons starting Oct. 23)
Wednesday - Guests vote for the movie
Thursday - Monsters, Inc.
Friday - Finding Nemo
Saturday - Cars
