This is my favorite of the value resorts. I find it to be the quietest and enjoy staying in the Broadway section for the theming, closeness to the quiet pool and parking lot. Jazz is my 2nd fav section - closest to the food court/busses without paying for preferred.

Enjoy your stay! :goodvibes

we stayed here last year, DW, DS, DD, DBaby, and me. We loved it. We like it much better than POP. Have fun:banana:

We will be staying there Oct. 17-28 what are your dates? We also have never stayed there. I've heard good things though. I read that ASSp is the first to get picked up and dropped off by the buses out of the AS resorts.

It's a lovely hotel. We've stayed and really enjoyed it. The piano pool is really nice for an evening dip. I'm sure you'll love it!

We were just at All Star Sports but the main pool was down so we used Music's pools. It was LOVELY. I would imagine you having a great time. We plan on staying here next time. So pretty and the main pool has activities all day like a cruise. One thing we really enjoyed was watching National Treasure on a huge screen while swimming. That was a nice treat.

I have photos of the Music pools on my trip report (link below.)

The only negative (in my opinion) to the values is the Food Court is chaos. Getting food was easy and efficient but it is more like a mess hall with lots of noise and chaos. Perhaps all the food courts are like this, but having only stayed at the value I could have used a nice quiet spot. We normally just ate breakfast in our room.

Bus service was awesome. I just really think you'll enjoy it.

GET OUTTA MY HEAD!!!! That's exactly what I was going to post.

One thing I would add is that Broadway is close to the parking lot and quiet pool, but far from Melody hall (which houses the food court, gift shop, front desk, and bus stops).

I love all of the Value resorts, but Music is definitely my fave.

We just got back from a 6 day/5 night stay at All Star Music. We loved it! Our room was in the Rock Inn Building #3. It wasn't a bad walk from our room to Melody Hall. It was nice and quiet and it was nice to have the Piano pool nearby. The bonus was our room was right around the corner from the elevator. That came in hand since we had the stroller.

The food court there was a bit chaotic but not too bad. We never ate there but we did refill our mug whenever we got the chance.

Little off topic here, but this is our family too (mom, dad and three kids - one under 2). Did you think there was enough space in the room for all 5 of you? Our trip is booked for Nov 1st, and now I'm wondering if we should do a second room? We're hardly ever in the room, so I'm really debating.....

Thanks for any input!

Thanks so much for all of your responses. We'll be there in 6 days and I was getting a little worried. No one seems to talk much about ASMu. It was a great thrill when I saw this thread. Were in a Preferred room, which I think is this Calypso Bldg or Jazz Bldg? Not sure. Were so excited!!!

Hey my TA told me that now Music has it's own bus ( so do the other values I suppose)...has anyone found this to be true? I was hemming and hawing trying to get a room at POP because it has it's own bus and she said now so do the All stars...any info?:confused3

Sports and Movies often share a bus, Music almost always has it's own bus.

Are you sure? When I stayed at the ASMU we actually were the second stop, Sports was first and then Music and then Movies. Mostly Sports and Music shared and Movies had its own bus. At night though, when the parks closed, each resort had its own bus.

We will be there Oct 19-27. Will they provide a hair dryer if you ask for one? Is there a fee?

Just back from ASMU. We stayed in Broadway building 8. I had requested Jazz, but it was not available. We were very happy with Braodway and didn't think the walk to the front was bad. Everything in the rooms was fresh and new. I think you will like it!!!

I've stayed in Bldg 8 several times and I love the location. It's very quiet and peaceful. Plus, I always have a rental car when I'm at WDW, so Bldg8's proximity to the parking lot meant I always got a good space close to the building.

It is also my favorite value. Have stayes there I think 3 times and will be back in December. More "adult" than the other values. IMHO, Pop by far has the "wildest" food court atmosphere.
