Any questions???

Also Whispering Canyon had great food!!!

Had you done a split stay before? How was your experience with this and would you do it again?

I am considering something similar in April - 3 nts ASMu and 4 nts WL. I can't afford WL for the whole time so... It's either that or just staying at POFQ (which we LOVE). Can't decide yet. And I'm not totally sure the hubby would go for split stay :confused3 We only have 1 child so I don't think packing up would be THAT big a deal.

Did you spend the time at ASMu waiting for it to go by so you could move to WL? I'm afraid that's what I would do !

Well I did a split stay with 3 nt. ASMovies, 2nt. at Wilderness Lodge, and then 3 nt. at ASMusic this past March. I did this with three children under 10 and no hubby this trip. I't can be done. The only problem I had was going to the Wilderness Lodge, they lost my luggage at Movies!! They sent us to dinner and the manager from Wilderness Lodge personally went to find our bags. For the problems they sent us a nice gift basket.

Just curious as which building you were in at All Star Music? Were all the buildings finished with the renovations?

This was our third time splitting resorts. Once on our honey moon between AKL and the CR. Last year we split ASMU and the BW. The moves were always easy and we got rooms before 11:00am!!
We really like the ASMu:love: , so I did not wish I was already at the WL. It does make our trip seem longer with a new adventure around every turn!! Our renovated room was in the Country Fair building.Every thing was updated and very clean!!!

Now I am going to start planning a cruise for 2009!! Never done one so I need to hop on over to the cruise board for some advise!!:sail: Heidi

I am a "Heidi" too, don't see many of them! I will be staying at WL Aug 14-18 and then Poly Aug 18-22. I have a couple of questions:

1. how was the transportation to AK?
2. did you take the boat or bus to MK?
3. Did you go to DTD?
4. Do you know what time the buses started running the am?
5. What type of room/view did you have at WL? Would you recommend a certain area of the lodge, I have courtyard booked.

Thanks so much, glad to hear you had a good time and you like WL, I was told 2 days ago that I need to move from AKL to WL and really don't know much about WL but am excited to see it!

thanks,
Heidi

Nice to meet you Heidi!!:wave2:
1. The bus ride to AK was @15 minutes. We never had to wait more that 10 for a bus out front of the lodge.
2. We rode the boat to MK!! I loved it!! It only took 5 minutes to get there!!
3. We did go to DTD but when we were at the ASMu.
4.We got a bus around 8:00 but I am sure the buses run earlier that that. Usually about 1-1 1/2 hours before park opening.
5.We had a woodview 6th floor facing the MK. We could see the fireworks at night. It was pretty cool!!
We really liked the lodge. Very relaxing. Eat at the Whispering Canyon especially if you like bar-b-que!! Check out the light parade from the beach around 9:30 pm. Also the food court had a great ceral yogurt bar!!

Enjoy your trip!! If you have any more questions please ask!!

Hi Heidi,
Glad to hear you had a great trip. One quick question, was your 6th floor woodsview room formerly a smoking room? And if it was, did you notice any residual smoke smell. I believe that most of the 6th floor North wing was smoking, before the no smoking policy went into effect.

We have a 2 woodsview rooms booked for August and would love the 6th floor if it doesn't still smell of smoke. What did you think?

Thanks,

I do not know if it was formerly a smoking room but there was not a residual smell. As a matter of fact, I just came back from an overnight stay at a local Marriott that is now non smoking and the first thing that i said when we walkied into the room is that it smelled of smoke and tha I missed the WL!! We were in room 6030 and it was wonderful!!

Enjoy your stay,
Heidi

Thank you, great to hear you didn't notice a smell:cool1:

Hey Heidi,

Last question I promise....;) Did your balcony have rails or are the sixth floor balconies solid, like some others on the upper floors?

Thanks again:goodvibes

The balconies were solid, on the other floors they had rails.
If you have any more questions donot be afraid to ask.

The grounds were very beautiful and my DS14 loved the pool area. My dh and I enjoyed the peacefulness and the awesome architicture!!
