I just booked a 5 night stay st this hotel. 07/02-07/07/02. This will be my first time staying on site! Any suggestions on where to stay and what should I expect with the transportation?

We stayed at ASMu in April 2000. Personally I think the best buildings are the Jazz section. They are close to the main building and bus stop but they are not right at the main pool (the pool can get noisy) I suggest a 3rd floor room near the elevator and facign the other Jazz building.

The bus service was very good. We only had standing room on a bus one night and that was at closing for MGM. We seldom had ot wait more than 10 min for a bus. This was during spring break and the parks and resorts were packed

I stayed at the ASMu last August with one of my best friends for our Senior Trip!!! It was our first stay on Disney property as well. We loved it!!!! :D :D :D

We stayed in the Calypso Section and it was wonderful! It took about 5 min. to get from our room to the food court, refill our mugs, and walk to the bus stop. Not bad. :)

Transportaiton was also great. We never waited more that 10 min. for a bus to or from the parks, except for this one time when we waited for 45 min. for a bus from TL to ASMu. But it was around lunch time, and busses don't run to and from the water parks as frequently as the theme parks during the day. You might want to keet that in mind. We just whipped out our portable fans and planed the rest of our day. No biggie.

We also never had a problem with the Calypso pool being noisy. Not even during the day when we came back to the room for a break. We were in room 1520, which (if I remember correctly) is on the closest section of Calypso Bulding #1, facing Melody Hall. We were on the second floor. The pool is fun, too! We were in the pool every night at about 11:30pm. After a hot day in the parks, there was nothing better! And there were usually only about 5 people total in the pool at this time, so we couldn't have been too noisy! ;)

If you have any more questions, please E-mail or PM me. I would love to answer them!!! :D

When we stayed there, we were in the Broadway section so the trek to the bus got real old real fast! LOL! However, if you want a quiet room, then maybe the back sections are right up your ally. As far as the bus, we were very impressed with the bus system at ASMu adn ASMo! They were great!
