All Star Music Renovations

Got back yesterday. We had a one night reservation and then a 7 day reservation (free dining). We were given a room in a non refurbished room. I asked if there were new rooms done that people could stay in and he said he'd call to see. We had to stay one night in the non-refurbished and then we could move to the new refurbished room. They are amazing!!!!!!! Queen pillow top mattresses- huge flat screen tv- LOTS of storage- Beautiful bathroom with thick sliding doors. They are small but now they feel like a modern upscale room. They are getting close to finishing building 1 calypso. It looked like they only had a few rooms left and were painting the stairwells Friday and Saturday. They started on the Jazz building next to building 1 at the beginning of the week.

Thank you so much for the report and I’m so glad you were able to get a renovated room! Are you sure they are finishing calypso building 1 because previous reports said they were working on building 10.

The rooms in building 10 are almost completed, but they're still placing new signage around the building. No other building is being worked on, yet.
These are pics of the fridge & kitchen, bathroom in the bedroom, and sofa/Murphy bed up and down. (It looks like they're the same sofa/Murphy beds that will be in the 2-person studio villas at Riviera.)

Hello everyone! I've been watching the refurb posts and I'm hesitating to book the ASMovies or this resort for next September/Section Country Music. What do you think my chances are that I'd get a refurb room if I book the ASMusic?

Hello everyone! I've been watching the refurb posts and I'm hesitating to book the ASMovies or this resort for next September/Section Country Music. What do you think my chances are that I'd get a refurb room if I book the ASMusic?

I would like to think by next September music would be finished. I think it depends what matters more to you: being in the country section or having a 100% chance of a refurbed room at movies. Is the price a big difference?

No there are normal rooms in that building as well.

They replied with they may have got number wrong and it was jazz building on left as you walk towards the back of resort..so should be 9

We have All-Star Music booked but want a renovated room. Should we book All-Star Sports instead to guarantee a renovated room? With that being said, is Pop nicer? This is an adults only trip. Thanks.

All Star Movies is the one completely renovated NOT Sports. Sports will be after Music. We are doing an adults only trip in March and have booked Movies. The rooms are the same size/renovations as Pop but Pop has the Skyliner to the parks but was also around $30/night more (for us when we booked Movies) standard rooms.

Calypso is almost done. There were taped construction signs on a few rooms on the first floor and the new signage and vibrant green wall painting were still being completed. I was informed that the current plan is: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (clockwise on the map). However, we know that plans often change.
