1) I've read that the three All Star resorts share a bus system. How does that work? Does it take long to reach the theme parks?
2) How's the food court? We won't be eating at the food court every day but I we do like to eat a meal or two there.
3) How's the storage room in the rooms? We will be there for 10 days/9 nights and I refuse to do laundry while there so we'll have a good bit of luggage.
4) We like to spend a down day at the resort. What are some things to do around the resort?
We just got back last night, so here's my answers to your questions:
1) We never actually did the bus sharing -- at the times that we took the buses, they always went straight to/from ASMusic, even in mid-afternoon
2) the food court was good. From what I understand, there must be more variety in the kids' meals at the value resorts. My daughter likes the kids' turkey dinner. The kids' menu is different at lunch and dinner times. The adults' menus are basically the same, but the dinner entree includes a salad (which you don't have to buy if you don't want to)
3) We actually need a lot of storage space when we go -- all of our suitcases, plus laundry and my daughter's sport equipment goes in the closet area.
4) Depending on the age of your kids, they might enjoy doing the activities by the pool. Since the parks were closing earlier when we were there, we watched the movie by the pool most nights (you don't have to be in the pool to see it, most people pulled up a lounge chair) We liked this a lot, since the Calypso pool is close to the bar area and we were able to have some adult time while keeping an eye on my daughter by picking our seats strategically.
I have to say one of the things I most enjoyed this year was the "Changing of the Guard" (when the life guard shifts change) At 4:15 everyday, they all get up and dance.
I can't give you a comparison to Pop, since I have only just visited that resort myself.
Good luck
