All Star Music FAQ thread and tips

Okay so this is my first time planning a Disney vacation. Check in at the ASMusic I read is not until 4pm? So lets say of course Im there way before then my flight lands before noon. So what do u do in the mean time? Where does the luggage sent in by Magical Express go?

And lastly for now ... grocery delivery does anyone know if this can be stored? Thanx

Our flights always get in way before 4:00 pm. This past November our flight got in at 10:30, we took the Magical Express, and we were at the resort by 12:30. We always just check in. They stored our luggage for us. We get our room keys (even though we don't have a room yet). The room keys have the tickets on them and the credits for the dining plan (if you are using one). We then go to whatever park we want. The resort calls to let us know what our room number is, as soon as it is ready. We have them put our luggage in our room.

We did Garden Grocer this past November, and the resort did store our delivery for us.

How are the busses at all star music? Do they share with the all star resorts

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the time of the day. Typically for park open and park close, busses will mostly run only directly to a particular All Star, then to a park, or vice versa. During the middle of the day though, busses typically go to all 3 All Stars, starting with Sports. When the individual busses run in the morning, there is also usually 1 bus that will run between all three. There is not usually a shared bus in the evenings at or after park close.

Thank you so much .. you've eased my mind and answered every question. I see you pic with Buzz and Im getting so excited! I have three boys they're going to go nuts when they see him.

i see you have already been to the Family Suites which is the best room location to be in? Can I request this in advance with ASM?

Yeah it's still there. We stayed at Movies Jan 4-11 and we walked around Music alot.

No st the movies it was a place that had the Herbie car in it and there were those pop up fountains through out it. Like I said my son loved it and I know there is one at POP too, so I was just hoping music had one. But thanks for the info on the playground we are staying in one of the family suites so that should be right near us. (^:

We have stayed in the suites both in the Calypso building and the Jazz building. I have never requested what building I want because they both aren't that far from everything. I timed it, and it was really only a few minutes difference, for my family at least.

The Calypso building is a little closer though. You can request what building you prefer, but you are not guaranted that you will get that building. I am going to try it this year. I want to stay in Calypso again since we stayed in Jazz last year.

I did notice that our suite we just stayed in that was in the Jazz building was a little bit quieter than when we stayed in the Calypso building.

I just typed this out for another thread, but I thought that since I typed it all out that I should put this info here too. I thought it might be helpful to those who have never stayed at ASMusic.

At ASMusic the food court is called the Intermisson Food Court.

I still have my info from when were just there in November, and this is exactly what is says about the food court.

My wife and I are staying at ASMusic for the first time celebrating our 50th birthdays. THe dates we will be there is exactly right in between our birthday, but only miss each one by a week on either side. My question is we will be coming in on a Sunday morning around 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. Will we be able to check into our room? Also, that is an evening Magic Hour at the MK, so would it be worth getting to the MK around noon and then taking advantage of the evening Magic Hour? Will all the fast passes be gone? The Sunday we are looking at is March 22. It is either go to the MK that day or spend the afternoon at TL or BB. :confused3 What do you all think?

First of all Happy Birthday - what a great way to celebrate 50! I am only a year behind you.

You can check in early and if your room is ready you will be able to get into it. However, if it is not, they will still give you your park hoppers etc and you can either hang around the resort or go to a park and then call back to get your room number.

The evening EMHs at MK are great (IMHO). They are usually still crowded the first hour of EMH, but after that you can usually walk on to most everything. I don't know if I would spend the whole day there though because it can make for a really long day at MK. We usually go over for the evening, in time to see Spectro and Wishes.

I hope that helps.

First time at ASMu this November!! Got a great deal ($120 a night from expedia for family suite!)
I'm ready to learn all about it!

:thumbsup2 We are headed to the All star music suites this weekend. We also got a great expedia rate! I will post when I get back. We stayed there in November and LOVED it. :cool1:

Doesn't it make you feel better to see it offered again. I truely believe that they are just bending the rules to sell some rooms that were not selling. I don't think it was a mistake. I also booked back in November without thinking twice about it until others posted that it was a computer glitch. Have a great trip this weekend.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Has anyone been to ASMusic recently? Are they still offering all of the activties at this resort, including the movie at night? Thanks for any info.

We were there the end of November. They were still doing all the activities. I would think they are still doing them.
