Can anyone tell me the closest building to the foodcourt and the bus areas... we will have eldery people visiting and I am wanting to request a close building or pay for it.. either way..

Thanks for any advice.

Fantasia would be the closest. Have fun! We stayed there last weekend and had a blast. :)

Here is the map of All Movies.

The Fantasia Buildings are the preferred buildingsand cost about $12 more a night.
The All Star Movie Fantasia pool has Mickey.

I would also suggest if your elderly guests are staying onsite. They may want to consider renting EVCs
(Electric scooters) from an offsite company.
I have Spinal stenosis and have rented mine from Care Medical (800-741-2282) and Walker Mobility (888-726-6837) in the past. I would recommend either one. The cost is about $30 a day. The ones at the parks cost $35 a day and are bigger and have 4 wheels kinda like a golf card. They are harder to steer and to control. If they rent from an offsite rental they will deliver the ECV to bell services at the resort. They can use it to go to the pool, and get around the resort as well as the bus stop.
Almost all the Disney buses are accessible. I love using my EVC it gives me more independence and helps keep my pain to a minimum. If they decides to rent an EVC (which I highly recommend) They can practice using one at a local store such as Wal Mart or Target. Those are a little bigger than the rental ones but the practice will help.
Have fun at Disney!

Don't forget....the Fantasia buiding is a preferred one, therefore 10$ extra per night...

We just stayed in the Dalmation building. Some of the rooms are just as close if not closer than the Fantasia building. Check the map. I would request a room close to the food court/busses and see what you are given at check in. That is what I did and she was giving us the Mighty Ducks and I asked if there was anything closer and they gave us Dalmation. We were on the far side of dalmation (1735) away from the Pool/Food/Bus. but it was still a short walk.

Any other questions?
Chris

We were just in Dalmations and it seemed closer than parts of the fantasia bldgs. We were in Dalmations 1 (Pongo) 3rd floor room 1942.

We stayed in ASMo last November and were in Toy story rooms. They were 2 minutes walk to the food court and similar to the pool. If you like a quiet room try to get the top floor, then you can not hear anyone above you. They were excellent - I will be requesting this section when returning.

There is a thread somewhere on this board...it's a VERY in depth review of AllStarsMovies...curtesy of ChairbornRnger....EXCELLENT...very detailed. According to him the "preferred" doesn't guarantee closer. Also, in addition to paying extra, you could wind up awefully close to the pool...which can mean NOISE! Building 1/pongo and Building 8 (? i think) Buzz are strategically close to the food courts and bus stop. Search for his thread, or if you find a post of his, there is a link in his signature line (next to Mickey in a glittering tux). He has a map and you can see for yourself the layout. Hope this helps!
