all star movies

i will be staying at all star movies this summer for my disney trip and i keep hearing that the value resorts are loud, very loud!!!! are they really as bad as i am hearing? on my last trip (july 2002) we stayed at AKL and the contemporary so i wanted to know if we should splurge and stay there again or save the $$$$ and stay at the values.

We stayed at All-Star sports last May and POP in September. Never had any problems with noise. Both times we were on the second floor and on the back side of buildings (not facing the pool), but we didn't notice noise from adjoining rooms or anything. I have seen people post complaints of thin walls and being able to hear your neighbors, but I did not find that to be the case. IMHO, save the money and give it a try.

We have stayed at ASMO3x and ASSP once. We have never had a problem with noisy guests, but weve always been on the back of the building which may have helped. Weve also never had a problem with hearing the "turbo toilets" that everyone complains about. Ive never heard any plumbing noises that I havent heard at other hotels...even deluxes. On our stay at ASSP we could hear trucks at night, but it was nothing that we couldnt sleep through.

no problems at all from any area of the blds.......we have had front and back and in between.......all were fine......going in three weeks again for a visit

Ditto the above posts. We've stayed @ASMo 3x and ASMu 1x and no problems. We'll be back for a stay @ASMo the end of this week.

Granted we stayed there in 2000, but we loved the All Star Movies!!! We may be staying there again this time but we are checking into others just for a change of venue.

I have these past 2 trips stayed there in Sept and in front not far from the pools and never had a problem with noise. I was there even during the hurricane Jeanne and didn't hear a thing.

Really all depends on who your neighbors are. On my last trip to CSR there was an annoying family from hell who let their kid run in and out of the room. He'd let the door slam and then bang on the door to get back in. This was really early in the morning. "SLAM, knock knock knock, SLAM..." over and over again. This was the only time in about 20 visits we had issues with noise and that was soley due to our inconsiderate neighbors.
