Does anyone have any thoughts or comments? We were thinking about staying there and have never been. Thanks! :)

We have stayed there twice, and our stay's were like night and day. Our first stay was enough to make us want to go back, but then this year wasn't that good. My kids loved the oversized Buzz and Woody, so that was another reason we went back this year.
Our trip in June just had one thing after another happen. If you are not paying for a preferred room, then be prepared to walk!! We were traveling in a party of 11, and didn't realize that in May the status of some of the buildings changed, so we were strung out everywhere. We tried to get people moved around, and that was almost impossible. I can understand being busy, but the staff was rude. Mousekeeping was spotty at best! The bus service was horrid, we averaged a good 30 minute wait one way. It depends when you are going, but in busy times I would look at another resort. On www.allearsnet.com there is a rate/review section where you can see other peoples opinions. We might have just caught a them at a bad time, but next year we are trying POP.

We were at ASMo in June also, and we had a totally opposite experience! I am sure it is a hit or miss situation with any resort, but our family LOVED the ASMo. We were in the Toy Story section which is now preferred(although we did not have to pay for the preferred because we made the reservation before they changed the Toy Story section to preferred). The food at the food court was very good(my DS9 loved the Chicken sandwiches). It was not a long walk from our room to the food court at all. Used the laundry facilities once while we were there, and it worked out fine. Pool is a nice size and the kids loved it! Bus service was great for us, never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus. There were times we had to stand because ASMo is the last stop for the AS resorts. Our room was clean, and mousekeeping left my DS6 stuffed animals in the window after cleaning(tied it up with the drapes). So cute! Another day we came back and his stuffed animals were lined up on the bed watching TV!!! :lmao: I would definitely stay here again! :thumbsup2

Stayed there in May 05. I thought it was great for our needs. The price is right, the food court is great, and mousekeeping was acceptable. The rooms are small but the mod rooms are not much bigger. I didn't find the bus service to be a problem. The only time I found long lines was getting back to the hotel at night which is to be expected.

We stayed here this past May and found it to be a wonderful experience. You don't mention if you have children or not. . . especially if you do, I would highly recommend it because the atmosphere, to me, is the most Disney since it highlights the animated movies that our kids just love to watch!

We are staying there from Sept. 27 - Oct. 6. We did get a notice that the pool would be closed do to renovations. May want to check on that before you book your rooms.

Thank you for all the info. We dont have kids yet, but we dont mind a kid friendly hotel :)

I have stayed at all of the disney resorts and I think that movies is the best for the values.

I have stayed there and it is a value hotel so the walls are quite thin but the atmosphere is fun and will put a smile on your face looking at the giant things near you room and the food is pretty good. I think that you will like it alot.

we have stayed there in the dalmation block but i believe that is now a preferred building. it is cool typical value food not worth eating nothing special about the rooms but the atmosphere we had from there last summer was amazing

We stayed here Nov 2005 and have just booked for Nov 2007, An excellent hotel, had what i needed on site, rooms are basic but better than some hotels i have stayed in before. We stayed in the toystory building which was very close to the main building and bus stop, wasn't too noisy. Don't mind what building we get next time, i don't mind walking, if its far away.

We stayed in a preferred room in November 04. We had an adjoining room with our family. Everything considered we decided that we would not return to this resort. The biggest reason was the cleanliness of both rooms. They were really dirty ... not dirty enough to write a letter to Disney or anything like that ... just dirty enough that we decided that it's not the resort for us.

The cast members were not as friendly as we have found at other Disney resorts either.

We stayed there (family of 4) and requested the Toy Story building. We were first floor, close to the food court. We did not have a bad experience. I do think that was the trip when we realized everyone (exaggeration) from South America was there!! It was June or July and there were large tour groups, but I don't think we noticed them at the hotel, definetly at the parks. I have no problem with the All-Star Movies. We liked it.

We were just there 9/23-9/29, our first time ever to WDW.

We LOVED it!!

We had excellent mousekeeping services, with decorated windows, towel decorations, etc. every night. Anytime we needed towels, etc. they brought them right up.

The Fantasia pool was closed so we went to the "quiet" pool 2 times but it got too crowded for us BUT we spent so much time in the parks that it didn't make a difference to us one way or the other.

Bus waits were a little long some times, mostly at night when leaving the parks...we hopped the bus to Music and walked to our room....We were in the Dalmations room.

I don't consider the walk to the food court, front desk, bus wait area long at all....guess that just depends on the person.

We didn't think the rooms were too small at all. We had plenty of room to have a portable crib set up AND to park the stroller every night with room to walk around.....of course the room we stayed in at Motel 6 the night before checking in could've made us feel that way, it was a hole in the wall ;)

There were the 5 of us there.

All Star Movies is amazing... Esp for kids.. they have GINORMOUS movie characters...I am 24 years old and I act like a 6 year old when I go there... Its my fav. one out of the value resorts..

Stay there and find out for yourself.
