All Star Movies/Transportation

Hi there!
I booked my reservations for the ASMo Resort....I saw a thread about POP and its transportation. And I was just wondering how it was for the ASMo. We are not renting a car, just relying on DIS Trans. We plan on taking advantage of the night EMH at MK and DS, and go to DTD alot, along with PI. Thanks so much in advance!!!

The buses are the only transportation. I stayed there in 2003 and the buses worked out just fine me us.

We stayed there May2004. Buses are the only transportation. They run pretty regular. You just have to watch because buses to the parks (farthest from ASMov) will have the longest lag time in between. Allow extra time because of this but other than that, Disney transportation worked for us (we even had our own car there but used the buses).

We were just there 2/14-18/05 and stayed at ASMo the 1st 2 nites. We got the Dalmation building (#4 i believe) and it was very quick walk to the bus stop. With a 2 yr old that was excellent. The buses were very regular, we never waited longer than 5-7 minutes for a bus to anywhere and we regularly went to DTD also. Most times as we were walking out a bus was there. The way back to the hotel was ok, but keep in mind they stop at all 3 all stars to drop off and ASMo is the last one. I belive it is Sports, Music, Movies. It really isn't that bad though. Just keep in mind the time of year you are traveling, it may be different for you. During the time we were there the parks were pretty much to ourselves we thought, as we never waited longer than 15 minutes for any ride or show.

We stayed there last March and had a car but relyed on the busses our entire stay. It worked out well. They do drop you off further from the entrance of the parks but it's not that bad of a walk and I was 20 weeks pregnant last year. The longest we waited for a bus was about 10 minutes but that was the longest.

Does one of the value resorts have better transportation then the others>??

Just got back on Saturday from ASMo and we had no trouble at all with buses. We never waited more than 5 minutes. At peak times (like park closing) there were direct buses to ASMo from the parks. I don't think we ever had to stand even though ASMo is the last stop of the three All Star resorts.

We rarely waited long at the parks to get back to ASMo as well.

If for some reason you want to get somewhere in WDW and don't want to use a bus, we took a taxi to AKL for dinner and it was $7. \

We've stayed there several times and the busses are great! short waits, quick rides to parks as you don't have any other stops...and only occas. did we make stops at the 2 other AStar resorts coming home from a park, and that was still no biggie. you'll enjoy the hotel!!!!
