All Star Movies - Toy Story

Hi,

I will be staying at the ASMo in Nov and requested the Toy Story building as my son absolutely loves Buzz. I was looking at the resort map and it looks like the buildings are close to the pool (which I want), but do they have back exits that bring you right there or do you walk out and around? Is there a location within those buildings that are better than others. I have seen posts where people request certain floors/rooms in other hotels. Is that necessary with the ASMo's?

I appreciate any help/comments.

The All-Star buildings are set up like motels, rather than hotels. You enter you room from outside...not an interior hallway. There are stairs on each end of the buildings and elevators in the middle. You can easily walk to the end closest the pool and take those stairs down. Also, if you are on the first floor your room will open right onto the sidewalk...just head in the direction of the pool.

Oh, and just a word of warning from a been-there-done-that perspective. If you haven't already told your son that you will be staying in the Toy Story section, don't. Section requests are not guaranteed and The Toy Story buildings are the most requested section at the ASMo and are often full. There's nothing worse then getting Herbie the Love Bug when your heart was set on Toy Story.

It is a very short walk. We were in Woody 3rd floor, backside as far as you could get and it was still a short walk. This was also a very quiet area so don't be disapointed if you are facing the parkinglot.

I agree with Michelemouse-don't get your hopes dashed if you don't get these buildings. They are extremely popular. The inside of the rooms all look the same so unless you can actually see the characters from your room you will only notice the theming coming and going.
