HI, WE WENT TO ORLANDO FOR THE 1ST TIME IN JUNE AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT, WE STAYED IN KISSIMMEE. I AM GOING TO BOOK UP FOR NEXT YEAR WITH VIRGIN AGAIN BUT CANNOT DECIDE WHERE TO STAY, WE HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT ALL STAR MOVIES RESORT AS WE THINK OUR DS AGED 5 WOULD LOVE IT. HAS ANYONE BEEN HERE IF SO WHAT IS IT LIKE, ROOMS, FOOD, POOL, ANY INFO WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED.

Hi  Never stayed on-site as yet but we are also considering ASMo for our visit next year. Have you tried asking on the resorts forum? There are quite a few people on here who are big fans of ASMo as well.

Hope you have a great time and welcome to the DIS

Ive stayed at All Star Movies twice and its fantastic which is why we are staying there again in November! The rooms are a nice size with 2 double beds and the theming is really good in them. The pools are brilliant, there are several to choose from and they are all nice and clean and again have great theming. The food court is good, they sell a range of food so you can usually find something you want, theres always staff there cleaning tables etc so its nice and clean there. There is a great gift shop and arcade. The buses run frequently to the resorts. Its all very good! :)

If you look at Allearsnet.com they have a great photo gallery of ASMO, 61 pictures showing everything at the hotel.

We Stayed at ASMo in 2003 and it was superb, the place had a fantastic theme and especially liked the pool

Hi there,

We loved it here! My DDs were 5 & 8 and the themeing etc was marvellous for them :)

Here's my review:

Overall impressions of All Star Movies

We loved it! Yes the rooms are quite small but we found them absolutely ample for the four of us and all our luggage (we had a lot!). The room was extremely clean and nicely themed. The furnishings are bold and brash and don’t feel deluxe in any way, but that is exactly what I had expected. The grounds were beautifully kept and the large Disney icons were a huge hit with the children as well as us! There are lots of little touches all round the resort that act as a constant reminder that you are on Disney property.

We thought the reception area was great; there was a lovely big TV screen showing Disney movies and this kept the girls entertained on several occasions (including one when we had to post a parcel and it took over an hour for the CM to work out how to do it!). The shop was every Disney fan’s merchandising dream with a great selection of toys, games, clothes, plushes and all the other bits and pieces you expect in a Disney shop. There were lots of sweets, cookies and crisps and the like and they also sold small bottles of spirits behind the counter. We were very happy with the cocktails served at the pool bar! The food court had a pretty good selection and was a reasonably pleasant dining experience – far superior to a similar set up in the UK but obviously it is cafeteria style. We thought the prices were reasonable – not as cheap as going offsite but you could easily feed a family of four for one meal for $25 or so. The refillable mugs saved us an absolute fortune! The girls gave the arcade a big thumbs up. We thought the pools were great - unfortunately we didn't get the chance to enjoy them much due to the weather!

We found the bus service excellent. The longest we waited was twenty minutes – unluckily for us that was on a cold and windy night! But apart from that time, I think we waited for under ten minutes for every other journey. I wish our local bus service - which allegedly follows a timetable but often fails to show up - was as good! It felt like a luxury to not have to drive and it is ideal when you consider how close to the parks you get dropped off and picked up. We did have to stand a few times, but it’s not like it is ever a long journey!

Overall, and bearing in mind the price we paid to stay here, the resort was even better than our expectations had been. Massive thumbs up from us!

We stayed there in june this year and we all loved it  4 adults and DD whos 4 next week. We would stay here again :) Great value for money and the theme is fun :)

Hi we stayed at all star movies back in January and September 2003 both my children aged 6 and 11 enjoyed it both times. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the Disney transport is great. The first time we stayed we were in Love Bug which is abit of a walk the the food hall and buses. The last time we went we were in Toy Story which is quite near to the food court and pool.

We go again in January and this time we have decided to try Carribean Beach hope it as good as All Star Movies.

We're staying in All Star Movies for the first time in December, and we cannot wait!

My only niggling worry is that I hear the Disney bus can be quite full on ocassions, having already picked up at All Star Sports, and then All Star Music.

Does anyone have feedback on this?

the buses are busy at park closing on the way back to the resort

Quite often Movies, Music and Sports have their own buses so its not that busy.
