Can anyone tell me if this resort is clean I've read so many horror stories I would like to know current conditions. Also are renovations going on or has this resort been totally redone. Last I read they were doing Mighty Ducks. I leave on 4/22 and am wondering if I should look for a new resort. Thanks for your expertise.

I have friends who stayed here recently and they said they loved it. It was very clean and they totally enjoyed their stay there. Not sure about the renevations or if there are any, our friends didn't say.:confused3

as well as four other times in our 19 visits to Disney and it was a beautiful resort......beautiful rooms and the food court was one of the best I have been to.........we had ressies in April for Port Orleans Riverside and then our grandkids wanted to go back there.....could not get in Movies so we are going to go to Sports.....we spend very little time in the room so we will be A okey

stayed there twice in 03 (Toy Story and Ducks) and had no problems at all. Lots of towels, great bussing, great food court. The "dinners" are great - don't just stick to fast food in the food court! At that time, didn't look in need of an update....

I was also there in December. I stayed in the Herbie the Love Bug section and had a nice room, clean and good location a little quieter over in the Love Bug section. Great food court, also very clean. I had also heard of renovations in the Mighty Ducks section, but don't know for sure.

Have a great trip!!! :)

Front what we saw the last time visiting friends (last month)
everything was clean.

Always remember-everyone is going to have a different perception of what they expect* it's a value resort.
It's not a deluxe property. For what you pay, you get a clean place on property, upkept, clean bathrooms/clean beds.
But it isn't the Grand Floridian.
Too many people post their upsets on these forums then it puts doubts in everyone's minds.
We stayed at all the Value's and never had a problem.

Any updates or questions you have you can call ressies or the hotel directly about any concerns they'll be able to tell you.

I was in the Hosptitality Industry for 10 years plus, and I am/was fussy.
Now that I am paying top dollar, I still firmly believe that unless you complain while you are there, about a leaky sink/dirty unvacumed floors/trash not being emptied * anything that harbors a health risk-Nothing I have ever seen comes close to anything like this, but I have experienced and see this on off properties more times than I can express!!!!! For a little more than staying at a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn express you get the "luxury" of being on site/on property and are able to enjoy the full experience of Disney/free buses to all the parks and security for yourself/your family (both visual and undercover), low cost family meals. So in my opinion you are getting much more for your dollar value than if you stayed off property in some other no name motel/hotel.

I have stayed at the deluxe property's as well, and can vouch that people have the same concerns for them as well-It's a Corporation that has built it's reputation on family and cleanlieness.
If anything seems out of the ordinary to you and it's to your disliking-
go and talk to the front desk mgr, that's what there job is to do, straighten things out for all guests to be happy and comfortable. But have realistic expectations. Last month we were checking in, we drive nearly 24 hours with two kids, etc etc and to hear some tourist yelling, why can't we do this or that at another person, really irked me and most of the people waiting to check in. They were looking for freebies for not being able to check in their room because their rooms weren't ready as yet-they arrived hours too early-
this is what I mean by having too high of an expectation.
They over stride to make sure each and every guest has the magical experience. Whether value, or Deluxe. :flower:

Once you return from your trip, the trip is over, nothing can be done about any bad* experience or something you didn't like.

But everyone be fair to everyone else-get it taken care of right away so that your hard earned vacation isn't wasted or then posted on here and get others worried about their trips.
I have seen this time and time again posted and posted on other boards as well. Believe it or not, there's millions of people who haven't got the opportunity to stay on a property and what is posted in black and white people take it for the honest truth. :cool1: :goodvibes

From both a professional/personal opinion the Values are a great value.
Go and enjoy yourself. You will be very happy with your decision.

Each and every trip is an adventure, and should be looked at it like that, it's intangable, so everyone is trying to make the best situation for everyone.
There are alot of great posters on this board, who teach us new things and it's very interesting to learn new things. :sunny:
Everyone enjoy their trips.
Pixie Dust to everyone! :goodvibes

We stayed last fall in one of the Love Bug buildings. Room was clean; bath and linens were clean (I wish mine at home could be so white!). We found it to be nothing less than "Disney" while there. Food court was great. Grounds are well-manicured and you can't beat the theming if you've got young kids. Mousekeeping even left our stuffed animals hanging from the lights in various cute poses!! My kids just loved that. I have no complaints whatsoever!

Another thumbs up for ASMO. I have to confess I am anal retentive clean freak, just ask my family! We stayed there in October and loved it. The bathroom was absolutely spotless. The grounds were very well kept. Also the restrooms off the pool were spotless. Every time I took my daughter in, somebody was in there cleaning and emptying the trash. We have stayed at 5 star beach resorts that were very nice except for the bathroom by the pool! Guess those hotels just thought it was useless to bother, not the case at Movies. The only thing in our room that maybe needed a little attention was on one of the walls were a lot of scuff marks. I could invision a toddler laying on the floor and kicking the wall, my daughter used to do that while she had her bottle! They always left us extra towels and when my daughter spilled some juice in the bed one evening I called housekeeping. I barely had the phone replaced when somebody was knocking at the door with all clean bedding. He offered to change it for us but I declined. They were contantly washing down the walkways and pool area after hours to keep that well maintained too. The food court was always clean and we liked it much better than the one at Pop Century. I hope you enjoy your stay and that some of these posts put your mind at ease.
