All Star Movies and AKL questions???

All Star Movies: Which buildings in All Star Movies are PREFERRED? We have 4 rooms (off season) and a total of 8 kids (oldest is 10). I'd like to put in a location request...not a preferred building but something relatively close. I've stayed at AsMo before but it's been 3 years.

Animal Kingdom Lodge: Did AKL have any Easter activities this year? Did they do a candy scramble? We're considering staying there for 2 nights, over Easter, next year...

According to Deb's site, for All Star Movies the preferred buildings are Fantasia Building 5 & 8

At ASMo the Toy Story building are great if you want to be close to everything but not pay that extra $12 a night. They are building 9 & 10.

Thank you. I must have missed that on Deb's site. I did look.

I'm excited to hear that Toy Story isn't preferred. I'll definately request that (probably with Dalmations as a back-up). My parents are taking the whole family for their 40th anniversary. We've been there a few times (we're still very excited) but it's the first trip for my 3 nieces and 2 nephews. I'm so excited to be going as a family and to be able to see all these kids experience Disney for the first time. I'm basically the travel agent for this trip (we have AP's and experience). I'll write a corny room request about sprinkling us with pixie dust and fax it in before we go. It's worked every time so far.

Toy story buldings are closer then dalmations. I always get Toystory and the trick is to call 4 days before(the day the rooms are assigned) and request it. Make sure you call and not fax.

I requested Toy Story but got Mighty Duck one trip, and the nice part was, it was fairly close to Melody Hall at ASMusic. We could bus to either resort, whichever had a shorter line, and get food/refills there too. ANd the duck pond pool is there with a laundry. It is not real close to Cinema Hall, though.

(The kids still liked the Toy Story area better, but it was Pop Warner week, and I wanted to be away from them, so Ducks it was!)
