All Star Main Pool Closed

Ok I am a little ticked off at this moment. We are arriving in 7 days and I just found out that the main pool at All Star Sports is now closed through September. We paid for a preferred room so we could be close to the pool and bar. I can't believe that they wouldn't have mentioned this when I made the reservation. Calling now. Not happy.

Main pool is closed...I wound up not booking Sports for this reason, but you can utilize the pool at other all stars too. What happened when you called?

I didn't know that either. That makes me a bit sad. Oh well, I guess I'll have to walk over to Music and Movies to try their main pools out when I'm there next week.

If I'd paid for preferred I'd be pretty upset too, though. I can definitely see where you're coming from.

Sorry I didn't post eariler. I called this morning and wound up speaking with a wonderful supervisor who did confirm that the pool is closed until Sept 7th. Since I will have my 13 yr old DS I decided that this would not work for us. The nice supervisor was able to help us land a preferred Port Orleans Riverside. Though it ended up being about $90 more, luckily there was a pin that she used to help us with. Not that I really wanted to spend more money, for the 2 nights we are staying on Disney, it is worth it. We will be close to the pool and other areas, especially since my DMIL is with us. Now down to 7 days and really excited.

We are here now & the pool was open this AM. We just got back from DHS & it was closed- not sure why....If this is the case for the rest of our trip I will be livid! We have 3 rooms in the preferred section due to the same reasons mentioned above .....

Jenny the pool is indeed closed for the month. I would go talk to the front desk manager and complain. They should have told you especially when you paid for the preferred room.
