Anyone use them to book your cruise? Anyone have any problems with them? would you recommend All Seas Travel?

Hi! If you are referring to allseastravel.com, yes I used them to book my upcoming cruise in Feb. I saved a bunch of money and I haven't seen this quality of customer service in years. I hughly recommend them!

After reading all these good things about All Seasons I decided to give them a call. I just booked with them!!! I was planning on taking my deposit to AAA tonight. I am mailing my deposit to All Seasons instead. The quote I got from them was CHEAPER than AAA by$450.00. Keith was fabulous...I can't say enough good about them. I will definately use them again.

I can not say enough good things about allseastravel. I booked my first disney cruise last year thru allseas and prior to finding this board, I called them all the time. I always had a question about how things would work on the cruise. They were not the least bit bothered by my constant harrassment. When we finally cruised in April 03, they had a nice gift waiting for us when we arrived. We booked on board for May 04 and made sure that Allseas would be listed as our TA for that curise also.

I originally booked with AAA. I didn't like their service at all! I changed it to All Seas and been happy with them. They saved me money as well. We leave next month..ooh that sounds so good to be able to say that now..So if everything goes well, I'll be booking with them again for our next cruise..Hopefully next yr. to celebrate my 40th!

I just have a question - as a point of clarification- I too have a cruise booked through All Seas. I just wonder with those of you who say they are so good - why do you say that? Can you share specifics of exactly what they have done that you consider to be over and above what might be typical?

I don't intend this to be critical of All Seas - I have had no communication with them (or from them) since I booked my cruise in August. Is it because you have called them with specific questions since you booked? Did they send you a note or some correspondence regarding the cruise? have they e-mailed you with cruise info?

tde1969: I assume, based on your post, that you recieved a gift from them on your first cruise?

Again, please don't take my post as being negative - I would just like to know. Thanks everyone.

I also have had great success with AllSeasTravel. I booked my first disney cruise with them, see counter below.:boat:

uncle al,

For me, I left a message for them and was proptly called back within 30 minutes. They were also cheaper than anyone else. Having been a AAA member since 1987, I gave them the first shot. It took 3 days for me even to get a response from my local AAA location and then the price was no where near AllSeas. I still get monthly e-mails from AllSeas on current specials and my sales rep even called me when a cat. 5 came available as she new this was what I wanted.

Hope this helped and I can't wait for my cruise. My only concern is that after 7 days on Disney Magic, I will never be able to cruise Carnival again. There are two Carnival ships within 90 miles of my home so I take a four night cruise at least once a year.

Well, for me, I like All Seas because they get back to me pretty promptly. I've used many travel agents and I don't think I"m asking too much from someone to call me back! But it's amazing that most of them don't. I'm sure there's some others out there that are good too.
I called one night because I had just changed from AAA to them and didn't get my confirmation in the mail. It was late and I spoke with the owner Chuck. He did everything he could to reassure me the paperwork had been sent out. I think we talked for about 1/2 hr. He took the time out for me and was very personable.
Sometimes I'll just email them and they email back with the info. I need.
I got an email from Chuck saying how much he appreciates my biz. and the kind words I offer his company. THey know that these boards can help or hurt them.
I think this company does a lot of business with Disney and because of that, I think they have a little more clout with them. Maybe getting a client something they really want. They do what they need to do to make the customer happy.

They also saved me money!! :Pinkbounc

(now if I could only get my verandah, I'd be real happy!;)

I also think Chuck (the owner) is a really good guy, and I admire the way he does business....On a previous thread, I had written good things about All Seasons....Chuck sent me a personal email just to thank me....I was very much impressed by that!!!

I booked our cruise this past summer, for August 2004, with All Seasons (www.allseastravel.com) and have had excellent service. Initially there was a misunderstanding over a quote I had gotten from an agent there but then the owner, Chuck, called me personally and he honored the original price I had been quoted. It was an honest mistake, and I felt the way Chuck handled this spoke volumes about the way he runs his business and so I booked our cruise with him right then and there. A week or so ago we decided to upgrade from a Cat. 9 to a Cat. 6 and I was very happy with how this change was handled, too.
We took our first cruise ever this past summer on Royal Caribbean and had booked with a different agency (I didn't know about All Seasons at that time) and was not happy at all with the service there. After our Disney cruise we plan on taking another Royal Caribbean cruise (in 2005) and I plan on using All Seasons for that cruise as well. Oh...almost forgot to mention....We saved $1080. over the price on the Disney Cruise Line web site! :)

I just booked for next Oct. thru Dreams Unl. because they are associated with this website & I got a secret porthole room. But I'm curious to know if all seasons is even less expensive than DU? Comments????? What type of rebates do they offer?

All Seas is almost always cheaper than Dreams. Dreams seems to not really lower their prices much more than $200. Every cruise quote I've received from Dreams was just $200 or so less than Disney (due to the rebate). I like to save at least 10 to 20% on my cruises. All Seas is great for the Disney cruises, but for other cruiselines their prices aren't quite as low, so I use another agency.

Perhaps this is just me, but I think it's bad form to start a thread, or post info about a competitor on a Dreams Unlimited owned board.

Pete & his team provides a plethera of trip planning information for free to the public by maintaining and paying for this site. I'm sure that this has to be factored into their prices. Whether you like DU prices/customer service, or not - this is a marketing tool for Dreams and should be respected. A very successful one at that...

Perhaps threads of this nature should be posted on a more generic board like Cruise Critic. Oh wait, not as many people visit that board for DCL info- do they? Service has a price & these boards provide a big service. It's not just returning phone calls & getting bare bones prices that measure service. Judging by the # of posts many of you have, you use these services frequently. Dreams obviously hopes you will use their firm to book business out of loyalty in return. If you don't, that's fine. Tell your friends about your "travel find", just don't post it for all to see on their boards.

It's just plain impolite to flaunt this in their faces, on their board. This board is designed to provide trip planning info, not competitor advertising. What does that say if Chuck is reading these boards... He better thank you- he's not paying for the forum & who doesn't like free advertising? He's laughing all the way to the Bank. Perhaps he should thank Dreams too... I realize many of you posting here want to share info to help people save money which is really good, but you need to remember who the sponsor is. Take a moment to think - How would you like it if this was your board? Many people criticize the mods for sensoring posts/locking threads to control info. I think this thread is a testament to their tolerance levels... Look at the countless friendships that have surfaced and been nurtured on these boards & in person on the Magic. Just take a look at the 10/11 thread for evidence of this. 56 people at Palo for brunch. They met on this board. How about Andy & BD? They met on these boards and provide info & entertainment for many of us... There are many regulars that post regularly like Dave from Marietta & Barb & Tony, who have great websites, spawned from their travel and being on these boards. This is something Allseas, AAA, Costco and many other just can't provide...

OK, I'll get off my soap box now... This thread has really bothered me since it appeared. It's certainly not the first time, nor will it be the last we see this type of thread appear. It's just very bad form and I couldn't bite my tongue any longer....

Thanks Pete for providing these boards. You've helped make my family's vacations terrific with all of the information gleaned in this forum!

First of all, I want to make it clear that I have the utmost respect for Pete Werner. When the whole "why did moderator so and so leave the boards" started, I KNEW there had to be another side to it, I knew Pete would not have just banned people like that for NO reason. I did not jump on the "How could Pete do this to them?!" bandwagon, which so many did. I figured it had to do with business, not personality reasons. Since none of us except those involved know ALL the details, it was prudent to keep quiet about that, until Pete decided to inform us a bit about what was going on.

Since I am one of the people who have posted regarding their experiences with All Seasons Travel, I just want to say that I think if it bothered Pete, he wouldn't allow it. If it was hurting his business in any way, he probably *shouldn't* and wouldn't allow it, after all, as you said, it's basically his own company which is helping to support this web site.

However, since Pete does allow us to mention any and all things about our Disney experiences, whether cruise, resort, etc, then I will continue to post regarding my own experiences, when I see someone asking about it. No one except Pete Werner himself will ever get me to stop sharing my own person experiences on this message board. When I post about good experiences with another travel agency, I am NOT saying anything negative about Dreams Unlimited. If anyone interprets it that way, I'm sorry but that's your problem, not mine. Give Pete some credit here, he's not stupid; quite the contrary.... however he seems like a very generous person by allowing us to post threads, within HIS guidelines, no matter whether they mention Dreams Unlimited, All Seasons Travel, or anyone else.

***Again, if Pete decided to change his policy on this, I would more than understand and would oblige that request happily.***

I THANK Pete for allowing us to post the good, the bad, and the ugly about everything related to our Disney planning experiences.

Seaspray~ My post is not directed at you or any other poster on this thread personally. You do provide great info consistently about a variety of topics & I for one appreciate it. Maybe it's not my place to post my opinion as I am not a regular on these boards. I use them 6 mo. or so before I cruise & then I'm gone, until the next one. I do depend on people like you, who post often & provide a lot of good info. I'm probably more of "taker", than a "giver" of info here. I don't doubt your respect for Pete at all. I think sometimes in efforts to help others, the big picture is not kept in view, that's all. Is it safe to say that none of us would want our competitors advertised on a business vehicle we own? As the DIS is a public forum, DU cannot dictate this, as they would look foolish. But that's what my post is about. It should be out of courtesy to the provider of these boards that this doesn't happen, not at their request...

Like I said, I think this thread is a testament to Pete's tolerance to post freely on these boards. For me this issue is based on courtesy for him as the provider . I think addressing competitor's info on these boards could be handled well by saying somethng like- I found great rates! Out of courtesy for Pete, please PM , or email me for details... But, again that's just me! Perhaps I am just a Pollyanna...

Perhaps my post is born out of concern for these boards, as you indicated- they are a great source for the good, bad & the ugly. There is a rash of hostility going on recently. Regulars are leaving, as their words are jumped upon & ripped apart...There was a thread the other day where the thread starter was brutalized by reply posts. It just was so mean and uncalled for. The poster pulled the thread & was understandably very upset. There was this issue of "banning", which like you said is none of our business. Every company has it's ups & downs & it just seems like there is a great deal of "Dreams" bashing going on that is probably undeserved. Pete has created a community here where everyone gets the feeling they "know" each other. It is easy to jump on a bandwagon & forget the forest from the trees....

So please understand, my post is not directed at any of you on this thread personally. Please don't take it that way. I guess it's the general environment I am commenting on. I'd like to see a kinder, gentler, more civilized environment to seek & share info in.

You seem like a very nice, compassionate person, Dianthus. The world would be a much better place with more people like you. I totally understand what you mean and I hope my post didn't sound too harsh, I just wanted to explain how I view this subject personally.

I also want to add that I'm pretty sure that as owner of these boards (the DIS is a public forum but it's privately owned by Pete) and of Dreams Unlimited, he certainly can dictate whether he allows other travel agencies to be mentioned or not. You're right though, it's a testament to the kind of person that Pete is, since he allows it.
