First I get booted from the game, then when I try signing back in, I get a 503 error message, and now it's timing out, and there's nobody in the game! WTC?!?!?

According to one of my tech buddies, it's the game's problem, and he can't offer any more explanations about that.

According to a very reliable source, the game was simply being "reset"...meaning the servers being rebooted.

Rest assured it's back up now and running.
