All right...I give up...no PIN for me!

I just need you all to tell me just to pay for my package, shut up, and look forward to my vacation.

We're going Xmas week..you know, no discounts of any kind available. We are booked at ASSp since the mods and deluxes are just not in our budget for the most expensive week of the year. I saw some posts about people being offered upgrades to moderates for chump change. I've been holding out hope for one of those magical emails with a PIN for an upgrade.

My payment is due in 6 days. I need to just give up my dream right? I assume that once I pay, there's no chance of such an email. BTW, I actually called Disney Reservations and had them check for a PIN for me. No luck. I can't tell you how often I go on the official site and save/modify different vacations. Nothing.

Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better. I'm really looking forward to our trip!

I think you already know the answer...

You're going to Disney world during the busiest two weeks of the entire year. The hotels are probably pretty full, so there's no need for them to send out PIN discounts. And the best you could do is call to see if there are any upgrade offers for that week. But again, it's the busiest time of year so I wouldn't expect it.

Many of the upsell offers were coming at so-called slower times of the year in the past couple of months.

But you're going to Disney World for Christmas, cheer up! You're going to have a blast!

I'm right there with you OP. We are going the week between Xmas and NY too, and would LOVE that upsell to moderate or deluxe. Value is all we can do this year, but yes, I am glad I can afford that and still be able to go. Our friends are staying at POR. Granted it would have been easier to stay at the same resort, but we will make do.

But I will still peek into my Inbox several times a day to see if there is a pin code for me!!

I get to spend Xmas at the happiest/most magical (I always forget which is Disneyworld and which is Disneyland) place on earth!
