I called to make a PS for the Ice cream social and was told that because we are 8 people, I need to book through group sales and need to leave a credit card. Do they charge the credit card? I dont mind leaving a credit card number for PS's but cant pay for 8 people at the places we would like to go.
Could someone clue me in?

I would like info on this too. I read on deb's site I beleive it was that parties of 5 and more require a cc.

Well, I booked a PS for LTT for Dec 2 (before MVMCP) for 8 of us and had no problems at all. No need for CC or calling group dining either.

I actually thought group dining was for over 8 but I don't know for sure.

The CC is just to hold the PS although I'm sure there will be a penalty if not cancelled within 24 hours or you don't show up.

I have a web page here that futher explains it: PS CC Policies

For the dinner shows, if you have more than 7 people, you do have to pay in full 21 days in advance, though. Must be 8 is the magic number but I don't know if this relates to all PS restaurants and events.

I booked an 'Ohana breakfast for 10 people last year without them asking for a CC or sending me to group sales. Let us know what you find out.

There are going to be 10 of us in September, and I have made several PS arrangements for dinners; haven't had to give a credit card for any of them.

We have about 6 PSs for 8 people for our upcoming trip, and none of them required a CC. Is this something new?

Just got back last month with a party of twelve. We dined at Disney around 12 meals that required PS's. Of course, CRT needed a credit card and charged $100 on it before we dined. There was one other meal that I rescheduled and, honestly, I can't remember which one it was (Whispering Canyon?) that asked for a credit card because the size of our party(nothing was ever charged to the credit card), but none of the others asked.

We dined at Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickeys, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, 1900 Park Fare, Bomas (x 2), O'hanas, CRT, Princess Storybook, Donalds, Liberty Tree, Prime Time 50's, and Garden Grille.
