Everyone knew that the answers I was looking for are:-
Question One
Thirty years ago, there was no Seven Seas Lagoon. There was just a large muddy marsh next to Bay Lake, the only natural body of water on the property. In fact, 450-acre Bay Lake and the land around it was one of the first pieces of property that Walt wanted to buy after flying over the region. (He was especially drawn to the large island in the lakes centre which later became Discovery Island). The area to the west of the lake had a lot of high ground suitable for building, while the low land between it and the lake was mostly low wetlands that could not be built upon. Disney Imagineers decided to evacuate part of the wetland and turn it into a man made lagoon which would provide additional space for swimming, boating and other water sports, as well as a perfect setting for the planned Polynesian Village Resort. To accomplish this monumental feat, they dredged the wetlands adjacent to Bay Lake and then pumped the lake entirely dry and dredged out more than seven million cubic yards of muck and debris from the bottom. (The dirt was used to raise the site of the future Magic Kingdom by 14 feet). To the surprise of Disney Engineers, the bottom of Bay Lake revealed thousands of tons of white sand. They cleaned it and used it to line the four and a half miles of beach around their new lagoon.
Question Two
1997 Coronado Springs
1999 All Star Movies Resort
2000 Villas at Wilderness Lodge
2002 Beach Club Resorts and Villas
Question Three
Smoke Tree Ranch ~ Walt and his wife bought their first Palm Springs home in 1948 at the upscale Smoke Tree Ranch.
