THANK YOU! Pretty special anniversary for us; a lot of "water under the bridge" in those 50 years and we're so blessed to have one another. We always laugh about the fact that he never really ASKED me to marry him! I got a surprise package from him when he was in Vietnam. Our mail carrier delivered the engagement ring...no note, no "will you marry me"...nothing...just a box with an engagement ring in it!

I have a cousin who married August 14th! That was a really busy month for our family in 1971; David & I on the 7th, cousins on the 14, good friends on the 21st and another cousin on the 28th! Enjoy your dinner and I KNOW you'll enjoy your Disney trip!

When we started teaching we met two other teacher couples who had also gotten married that same August 14th. Both are celebrating their 50ths also.

With the virus variant cases rising in Florida I'm just hoping DH doesn't insist on canceling.

I've been wondering if he's been thinking about that! I think things will slack off again by trip time; it's been an "up and down" pattern this summer; one month it's Florida, the next it's Texas. We're really having a surge here now; personally know of 5 people who have tested positive in our little town (youngest DGD is just now coming out of her "isolation time" due to exposure). I've gone back to masking up again. Some spots are back to "Level Red" with cases. Tell DH to hang in there; firmly believe things will improve before you scheduled trip.
