All New Picture of the Day Thread - July 26th 2014

Been to Universal Orlando lately???

I'm such a Disney snob.... lol

Now I can answer your questions :rotfl:... DD planned a surprise trip for DGD's as a last "summer fling" before school starts. They were clueless :rotfl2: and had no clue until DD pulled up to the airport in Austin this morning and parked the car. STILL had their doubts until they saw their flight number and destination...ORLANDO. DGD is a DIS member and often checks the threads I'm interested in...couldn't take the chance last week of "explaining" and having her see my post. SO...this will be their view tomorrow morning (and my Picture of the Day)...after a good nights rest at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort...

...and this is important to me because NOW we don't have to take a day out of our trip to the World in November to give them their "Harry Potter fix" :cool1:! :tink:

I take it that you personally are not an HP fan. So glad that your DGD and her family will be experiencing it tomorrow. Excellent area to walk around in...very immersive.

:rotfl: That would be correct. :rotfl: I enjoy Universal Studios but hate giving up Disney time. We try to plan a 10 day trip every few years so we can go to Universal and, my other favorite spot, Cocoa Beach with dinner at a marvelous seafood restaurant on the Banana River. :cloud9: Those 10 day trips are getting harder and harder with DGD's summer activities. Tough choices have to be made and with the limited time available my top priority is spending that time with Mickey Mouse and friends. :earsboy: :tink:

Hey, I understand. Not judging you one bit. My travel party is an equal opportunity theme park tour group. Each time we go to Orlando, we like to visit different theme parks. Usually we hit SeaWorld every time and then either a Disney park or an Universal park, or on some occasions, we hit all three companies. It depends on where the newest attractions are at the time.
