Where abouts were you standing?

And what time of year was it?
I usually take notice of the trees.... and there are no leaves, which gives a better view of the castle.

wow, i been so busy at work the last couple of days (yes, actually doing WORK) that i haven't been able to post. I come back and I see we are all under a different page on the boards.

Here's my Saturday POTD

This is my favorite picture spot as far as castle pics go. On the trip I just made over last weekend, this spot was 'being refurbished' and had these 10-foot tall walls blocking the view of the castle. I took this one this past October.

What part was being "refurbished"?
I heard the area down by the old dock for the river boat (I think that was what it was years ago?) Isn't it the "smoking area" right now?

wow, this ranks right up there with the best pictures I've seen so far. I love the red glow of the sky and the vibrant colors on the castle. What camera/ lens did you take this with?

The only thing being refurbished was the edge of the bridge. I think they were doing work on the bridges railing, and just on the side nearest to the castle. Even with the walls put up around the work, the bridge is only 2-feet narrower.

Thank you! I very much enjoy this one too, although I think I over-exposed the castle just a bit. I used a Canon 30D with a Tamron 18-250 lens that I have since retired.

The sign is completly gone. SSE is back to its original look. The first few times I looked at it I thought it was weird, but I actually like it better this way.

This one was shot from in front of the Crystal Palace.......I think it was December 18th......
