Good morning, my AMC friends!

Sorry that I have not been able to post for a few days, but after being out sick for most of the week, I returned to work to find my boss on a rampage (I'm not quite sure why), telling us individually that we are not working up to our "full capacities", etc. So, seeing as how our whole division is reorganizing, and I'm not sure where (if anywhere!) I will wind up after the "dust settles", I have resigned myself to not posting during the day at work. I will just have to "adjust my posting schedule" so that I can check in at night or early in the morning, instead!

Yeah, Ryan did look pretty great in that towel! I liked how he walked out of the shower, presumably naked, saw the open door and Liza sitting on his bed and ran back to get the towel! He's probably the only person who would not be shocked to see a woman just walk into his room and sit on his bed while he's in the shower, unannounced, like that! What the heck is up with Liza???? She is acting so weird, and I can't figure it out! At first I thought that she was really just out to get JR, but I don't think that that's it - there is something seriously wrong! And even though it was nice to see her finally being decent to Mia, it was weird that she and Adam welcomed her into their house like that......especially since she used to "work" for Adam, doing his "dirty work" and since last time we "heard", Liza wanted nothing to do with her! Very strange - I'm curious to see how this plays out. I wonder if they are hinting at Liza and Adam getting divorced (AGAIN - all they do is fight!). Maybe they'll put her back with Tad? All of a sudden they're mentioning Chandler Enterprises, again - they haven't mentioned her involvement with that in awhile (how many jobs does Liza HAVE, anyway??) - maybe they'll have more scenes with her and Tad, there. Also, is Marcy Walker pregnant in real life? I noticed that she was holding her coat in front of her belly for a good part of yesterday's episode, and she was pulling her jacket around her when she wasn't holding her coat - those are usually tell-tale signs of them trying to hide an actress's pregnancy!

I KNEW that Joe was going to appoint Jake as Chief of Staff! Even though he is more qualified, how could David go from "fired" to "Chief of Staff"?! Things work very strangely around PV, to think that that was even a possibility! And how could David appoint HIMSELF Chief of Staff? And how did the Board so quickly agree to appoint Jake? And after years and years of service, could Joe REALLY decide to step down so quickly??? Oh well - it should be interesting to see whether Jake keeps David on staff and if so, how they torture one another! I hate when David says that Joe is "old" and "incompetent" - I don't know why, but it makes me sad when he says that!

Have you all seen the Daytime Emmy nominations??? I can't believe that Anna and Erica are nominated for "Best Actress" and that Hayley is nominated for "Best Supporting Actress".....but that Greenlee and Vanessa were totally ignored! I'm happy for those other nominations, but if anyone deserves to be nominated this year, it's Vanessa and Greenlee! It's so political - they nominate who they like or who they "should" nominate. I love Hayley, but this was not her best year on the show - she should have won they year that Arlene betrayed her with Alec and she and Mateo got together. This year, she was gone for a portion of it on maternity leave, and didn't have very much to do the rest of the year (except that brief period when she thought she WAS Arlene). Vanessa and Greenlee really should have been nominated, as well. At least they nominated Bianca again for "Best Younger Actress". I was pleased with the mens' nominations - especially the fact that Leo and David were nominated. I think that Ryan was nominated to keep him happy (after his big contract "issues") and that Mateo was nominated because he's married to ABC's favorite darling. Not to say that Ryan and especially Mateo haven't done good jobs, this year - I just think that a lot of those nominations are politically motivated. I was also pleased to see that the ORIGINAL JR was nominated for "Best Younger Actor", again! And they nominated Chris.....but I think that David deserves to win "Best Actor" more than he does.

What's the deal with Liza? Why is she acting all psycho? I only see bits and pieces this week but I did see her go all glassy eyed in front of JR & Adam and then freak out on JR after Adam left the room. Is she destined for the nut-hut soon???

David, David, David...how sad his mother bought all his awards. He's still a better dr than Jake. When will Jake be cut down to size? I'm tired of his I'm better than you attitude all the time.

Maybe Jake's acting all "high and mighty" around David helps him compensate for the fact that he keeps falling in love with the "wrong women" and ultimately getting rejected by them! He was so much nicer and more sensitive when he was with Greenlee!

I can't believe they've appointed Chief of Staff to Jake. I like Jake and all, but I think that is kind of weird. I hate the "I'm better than you" attitude he has with David, too.

Junior Achievement

Jonathan Bennett (Adam Chandler, JR) has landed a part in a FOX pilot. According to Variety, Bennett will appear in "Eastwick," a series based on the film The Witches of Eastwick. Right now the series has not been picked up for the fall season -- but it very well could be in the not-so-distant future.

It is unclear how this would affect Bennett's work on AMC. Presumably the actor would have to leave the show since the series would tape in California. However, Bennett could remain with AMC and make appearances on a recurring basis.

An AMC spokesperson had no comment on Bennett's role in the pilot.

"Susan Lucci's Erica Kane has battled kidnappers, posed as a nun, been married nine times, and stared down a grizzly bear in her rise from beauty queen to evil executive on the long-running ABC soap opera "All My Children." Now she will face her biggest threat - Revlon.

The plot sounds tailor-made for an advertiser - and it was. On the show, the cunning Erica runs the cosmetics company Enchantment, and in a story line that starts Monday, Revlon, her biggest competitor, tries to hire away Greenlee Smythe, one of her top employees. But Erica tricks Revlon by sending her estranged and naive daughter, Kendall, to infiltrate her rival and become a corporate spy. And that's just the beginning."

I CRACKED UP today when Val was talking to Erica and referred to Greenlee as Mini-You. LOL!

I know I've said it before but I'm going to say it again. I really enjoy Jake and David as adversaries! I think they have great chemistry on screen. I liked that they made Joe's sudden retirement make more sense today too. Sounds like he's planning on staying on at the hospital as a doctor.

Sherry - you're like me. Some nights I get bored and peruse all my AMC bookmarks and when I find good stuff I just have to share with my buddies on this thread! Now I've got a new bookmark. LOL! But I hope the rumor about Arlene being Proteus is NOT true. It seems too far gone for that to happen at this juncture. But who knows? I never thought Vanessa could possibly be Proteus either but they've made me believe! LOL! But I kind of like the idea of the hot-shot lawyer being a Roger/Vanessa spawn.

Hey, Poohbear - I've been counting on you for the SSW dates! I'm keeping my eye out too. Would really like to start shopping for airfare and a room.

Hi Ladies!! How was your weekend? Mine was good, it was kinda hot, yes hot! It was in the mid to upper 80's and I was hot! Luckily the parks sell Icee's so that kinda kept us cool. It was though. Was not ready to get back to work, what else is new!

I too loved it when Val said Mini you to Erica, that was right on. Good show today.

Well, we know that the Revlon rumor was true, now, Sherry!

I agree, Aprille - Jake and David have good "adversarial chemistry"!

I could have predicted that Erica would want to use Greenlee to get rid of Kendall (didn't Greenlee actually suggest that to Erica, last week?!)! Or that Kendall would try to make Bianca hate Erica.

I doubt that Arlene or anyone else is Proteus, after they had Vanessa tell the history of her and David's father and how she took over for him when he couldn't handle the pressure, etc. That story also led into her financing David's career, schooling, etc. So I don't think that they would change that, now (or at least I HOPE that they wouldn't!).

CADY: NO CLAIM TO ATWT ROLE
As reported last week, ATWT has been eyeing AMC vet Cady McClain (ex-Dixie,) for the role of Carly’s half sister, Rosanna, but the actress has since turned the show down. “ATWT really wanted her for the role of Rosanna, but in the end, she decided not to take it,” an insider says. According to sources, McClain’s final decision rested on the scope of the part, which would have been larger than originally planned. If the actress had wanted to stay on the front-burner, she could have done so at AMC. A P&G spokesperson reminds us that they don’t comment on contracts. Whether ATWT is still looking to cast the character is unclear. Rosanna, who started out as a good girl, became quite vengeful after Carly slept with her fiancé Mike. The role of Rosanna was last played by Yvonne Perry, who left in 1996 but made a string of guest appearances in 1998 and 1999. Digest was unable to reach Perry at press time.

In a throwback to advertising practices of the 1960s, All My Children will incorporate a real world company into its fictional storylines.

Beginning Monday, March 18th, AMC will feature a 13-week storyline in which Erica Kane's cosmetic company, Enchantment, is featured in a corporate battle with real-life cosmetic company Revlon.

In return for product placement, Revlon will pay AMC an undisclosed amount of money and have the ability to suggest changes to storyline ideas that tarnish the company's reputation.

By the way, did you notice how Joe said, yesterday "Maybe Ruth and I can spend some weekends in Philadelphia and stay at a nice hotel....." they so rarely mention actual names of cities - for so long, Philadelphia was just "Center City" to PV residents!
