Hey Everyone!

How have you all been???

I'm FINALLY caught up on the show........now I just have to catch up on all of your posts!

This whole thing with Adam and Mia is making me nauseous. She's going to play into his hands the same way that Ditsie and Gloria did - it's very uncomfortable to watch. And doesn't this woman want to have a life of her own? They treat her like hired help at the Chandler Mansion, even though they keep stressing that it's "her home" and she's "part of the family". Still, they're constantly invading her privacy and expecting her to be on call 24-7 for Colby. Who was taking care of Colby before Mia moved in, while Liza was working? Did they fire their nanny, or something? I know that Mia wants to be part of a family and all, but having to explain about having Jake spend the night in "her home" is ridiculous - I wouldn't put up with that! And I hate watching what Adam is apparently trying to do to Liza - again, shades of Ditsie and Gloria. I wonder if Tad will come to her rescue? Or if they're setting him up to "catch Brooke's fall", once Edmund sees "Maureen" for the first time?

I wish that they would stop with the fluctuating fighting / making up / being together / breaking up things with Anna and David and Ryan and Kendall. They keep going through the same discussions over and over again! What do you all think of Anna's new nephew? (Did we even KNOW that she and Alex had another sister who had passed away?!) I think that he's a little older than 24........I don't know why they had to mention his age......maybe to set him up as a potential love interest for one of the younger characters on the show, like Maggie?

Speaking of Maggie, I enjoyed that scene with her and the obnoxious girls (where is Shannon, these days?) and Erica and Bianca, a few days ago! It's good that she and Bianca apologized to one another - the obnoxious Maggie was getting annoying.

Is Arlene off the show, again? Was she only supposed to be on for a few episodes?

I'm really enjoying the recent scenes with Greenlee and Leo and their supporting one another and protecting eachother - it's nice that they're finally allowing them to be happy.......until they return to PV and Mary tries to break them up, that is! I hope that they let them get married and live happily ever after - there have been too many sad-ending marriages / engagements on the show, lately!

And I hope that Erica and Chris make up, soon - it was so nice to see them so happy when they were in NY!

Welcome BACK, Lisa!! Glad you finally got caught up. It's a chore, isn't it?! Your wish for Chris and Erica to make up comes true TODAY! Woohoo! I loved it!

Sherry, Sherry, Sherry. I'm so sorry. You must be feeling really ill after today's episode since Ryan actually proposed today. (I know I am!) What was up with him spraying Kendall's perfume on his hand and then the big video montage?! Blech! These two do NOT deserve a video montage. And the whole thunderstorm thing?!?! I thought it was all way overdone. UGH! The only reason I hope they get married is so Kendall will leave town with Ryan.

I thought Trey was funny today when the doctor was grilling him on how he got his injuries and he said, "French medicine is very thorough." LOL!

I've lost all hope that Mia will ever grow her brain back. I hate it when the writers dumb down the feisty female characters. I use to think Mia had great potential. Now she's just another one of Adam's puppets. UGH!

Loved the Liza/David scenes. I was cracking up when she shoved the contract down his pants!

Then he said, "I never realized the business world was so stimulating." bahahaha!

Hi Everyone! I have.......6 more days till I go to WDW! I can HARDLY wait! Needless to say, I have missed the show since Tues. but I see I did not miss too much! Thanks for the updates. And, NO Tad is NO LONGER a HOTTIE! YUK! He needs to GO too! Gotta check my packing....see ya!

Well, I am finally caught up. These are my thoughts:

I am a Maria fan. IMO she had/still has the BEST figure on AMC. I used to use this as incentive to stay in shape. Sort of like putting those bikini clad models on your fridge to keep you from raiding it? I had Maria for this and I am happy to see her back. And I hope to never see Hoolia again. A real gag. Noah was easy on the eyes, but if he was a real life jerk, I don't need to see him ever again.

Today Adam asks Mia to quit her job at the hospital. Will she be dumb enough to comply? Of course! I am growing mighty weary of Mia.

Well here we go again tying Haley and Mateo to an important storyline since they alone are sooooooooooo borrrrrrrring. Let's see, the Proteus deal didn't make me like Haley/Mateo any better so they now use the 'Maria coming back from the dead' deal to spice up their characters. I dunno, to me those two have been real yawners since day 1. Maybe they can catch the Ryan train outta here. (note: I will miss Ryan very much).

Note to Ryan: Kendall is too much work.

I too am loving Leo/Greens/Mary/Roget` et all. Leo to Greenly -"Pick on someone your own size." Lots of laughs with this gang. I'm having a great time watching!

Ok, I have to put my vote in here about the 'Bianca burning the house down with her dollhouse' vintage scene. I say this is not original footage. If memory serves, the little girl who played Bianca along side Buffy/Kendall was another little Bianca child, Gina Gallagher. I remember watching it that day back whenever it happened. I am not saying I am right, I am just saying that I do not agree that the scene is authentic because I think that the Bianca that burnt the house down was Gina Gallagher. And if I am wrong, I stand corrected but do know Gina played a great little snotty character against hateful Buffy/Kendall, even if she didn't burn the house down LOL.

It still tears my heart out when Erica visits Mona's grave. She was a mom to all of us, wasn't she? I loved Mona so much.

That new guy they pulled out of the hat for yet another long lost relative of Annas (could it be because her character is sometimes such a snooze ?) did look rather intensely at Mia the other day. I'm not sure about him yet. All I know is my hunk, David, has not been the same since he hooked up with Anna. I used to like him SO much. They should be careful, because hooking a popular character with a boring one sometimes makes the popular character less popular and the boring one still the best candidate for my fast forward frenzy.

Simone used to be a yawner. She sure drew the lucky straw when she hooked up with the Greenly/Leo gang. They're the hottest storyline going IMO. I was really getting discouraged with the show. I thought about taking the summer off taping AMC and just taping my second fave show, OLTL. Then I heard Maria was coming back to AMC (needed to step up my walking program anyway.. LOL) and now with this Mary/Leo/Greens/Roget`/Simone group, my loyalty will continue.

To whoever was looking for the OLTL thread, you can do a search on "One Life To Live" in the general section. I haven't been there in weeks and have a few things to say about that show too.

Thanks, Aprille! I missed being here. Welcome, Tiggerluver. Gotta get my 2 cents in here too about the age 40 and over actors. Tad, Adam, Erica, et all... they look fabulous!!! Your regular joe shmo and susie Q on the street could never ever look anywhere near that fantastic at the ages those actors are. We should be so lucky. When I get to be Erica's age, I would thank my lucky stars if my pinkie finger looked as good as hers. Granted I know Adam and Erica have had "work" but no amount of plastic surgery can account for how well they maintain their bodies. You can be sure they are saying no to all that Philly and New York cheesecake. Anyway, gotta love 'em!

One of my projects for the summer is to clean out my old old video tapes of junk I have taped in the last 10 years. Late at night I will pop one in and FF until I get to something good. Then I will watch it, then throw it out. Well, I happen to come upon some tapes of OLTL and AMC from the mid 1990's. Mind you, sometimes you can barely make out who is who since the tape was so old and damaged, but I managed to relive some really cool moments like when Erica and Janet were trying to dispose of Jonathon Kinder's body. I loved that whole deal where Tad wakes up in St Justin and finds Marion in his bed (she thought he was Jonathon Kinder). OMG! I hope they don't kill off David! I will die! Anyhow, it was loads of fun. Who could keep up with Erica's changing hair styles! I still have more tapes to go thru. It's too bad the tapes are in such horrible shape, otherwise I would keep them.

You know, the more I think about Bianca burning her Jack doll, the more I am thinking it may not have been Gina Gallagher. I dunno. Heck, Lacey Chabet (from party of 5) and Gina Gallagher did not come on All My Children until 1993. Can't anyone out there tell us when the heck Bianca burnt the house down? LOL I just know Gina played Bianca during the Buffy/Kendall deal when she poured ink on Kendall's dress. So when Kendall recently acted like she was there when it happened, I thougt it was Gina as Bianca. I think I can find it on the time line, I just have not looked hard enough. Don't mind me.

You know it always ticked me off that Arlene looked way too young to be Haley's mom.. so there you have it... I found her d/o/b on the net and she is only like 40 years old. Ok, so now how is it biologically impossible to have Haley? Isn't Kelly Ripa like 30 years old? We fans will accept a lot of unbelievable stuff like Simone even being attracted to sleazy Roger (don't get me wrong, I love the character Roger) and Erica having Bianca at 14 (don't get me started on that one), but Arlene just looks too darn good in her mini skirts to be Haley's mom and I like the actress, but she is not at all old enough to be Haley's mom unless Kelly has been spending too much time in the tanning booth and is not as old as she looks.

Oh, and yes I agree! Anna's hair is terrible and ya notice more now that she is 11" wide.

Didn't Trey look more like a cartoon character diving into a pool than falling off a balcony?

According to my 25th anniversary AMC book, the burning of the "Jack" doll took place in 1991. Bianca was played by two actresses during 1991---Jessica Leigh Falborn and Caroline Wilde. I don't know which one set fire to "Jack."

That one has been bugging me for a while! Come on now, that makes Kendall about 35 or so doesn't it (even though Susan Luci is over 50 in real life)? No way she is only a few years older than Bianca if Erica was 14 when she had Kendall. Erica was at least in her late 30's when she had Bianca. What's up with these soap writers? Where is their consistency? And JR being the same age as Bianca? What's up with that one too?

Olivia Birkelund (Arlene) was born April 26, 1963. Kelly Ripa's birthday is October 2, 1970. A 7 year difference.....not likely to be mother/daughter.

Lucci doesn't post her birthdate but it says she was attending college when she joined the cast in January 1970....making her somewhere in her early 50's. The actress playing Kendall was born May 28, 1974 -- making her 28. She should be about 10 years older to fit the storyline....and nowhere near Bianca's age.
