Nu Greenlee is very "stiff" - she doesn't deliver her lines as "naturally" as Rebecca Budig did (but then again, Kendall was pretty "stiff" when she first came on the show and she has improved dramatically, through the years!). I can't help but picture Rebecca Budig playing each scene as I watch Nu Greenlee do them (I think that Rebecca would have acted the heck out of the scenes where Greenlee was giving her impassioned speeches from the chair in ConFusion!). At least Nu Greenlee conveys the self-centered brattiness that has always been the "theme" of the Greenlee character.......but she seems to lack the heart that Rebecca put into the role. Old Greenlee was multi-dimensional (because of the way that Rebecca portrayed her) - she WAS a self-centered brat, but we understood her motivations for doing or feeling the things that she did (..........except when she was with that guy Carlos and his brother after Leo died.........that was pretty weird!). Nu Greenlee plays the scenes too "formally" - she articulates the words too much, or something. She's doing a good job with Greenlee's posturing and facial expressions, though (.......when she's not doing that "twisty mouth thing"!). I also find the re-enactments of scenes from the past (with Kendall and Ryan) using Nu Greenlee to be very disconcerting!
It's always hard to accept a new actor / actress in a long-time role........maybe she'll grow on us, after awhile........I never thought that I would get used to or like Amanda or Colby.........and now they are both tolerable and enjoyable, for the most part!
I didn't realize that Babe and Jamie were planning to leave the show! I wonder if they will have the characters get back together before they do? I will miss Babe - she's another one whose acting has really improved a lot since she first started. And now that she and JR are finally through bemoaning their marriage and the various ways that they've hurt and lied to one another, it's interesting to see what they'll do with her. I think that the issue of Greenlee's "taking back" the shares of Fusion that she gave to Babe (AND the fact that she somehow has Simone's shares.......am I nuts, or didn't Simone leave those to Bianca / Miranda??!! I could swear I remember Ryan or Jack giving Bianca a note from Simone, after the settling of her estate, in which Simone said that she wanted Miranda to have her shares of Cambias / Fusion because Ethan would have wanted it that way.......) is totally implausible!
I will be very angry if the writers have Zach sleep with Hannah - that would be so "untrue" to his character. He supposedly loves Kendall so much that he's put his life on the line for her many times, went to great lengths to protect her and Spike in the hospital when she was in the coma, staged the blackout because he thought that it was in Kendall's "best interest" not to have Ryan's (and Greenlee's) baby...........Hannah (whom he hasn't seen in 20 years) just asks him to have a baby with her to "make up for" the fact that she couldn't be part of Ethan's life before he died.......and he would just say "OK!" and jump into bed with her??? I don't think so! (And I don't think that they already slept together - the bed was unmade because Josh had Hannah lie down in it, earlier. I think that Zach is either "contemplating" or he's already "let her down easy" and was standing on the terrace while Hannah sulked in the bathroom, or something.)
I wish that they would stop this reality show farce and just have Jack and Erica get back together!! They don't need to build a big, silly storyline around it - just have them make up and be happy together!
It's nice that Di is defending Ava, especially since she essentially was in the same position as Ava when she first came to town. The difference is that Di didn't steal from people and didn't act all "trampy", as Ava is doing.........
Cute scenes with Sean and Colby, the other day! What ever happened to Sydney? She must be lost in the tunnels of the Chandler Mansion, or something - we haven't seen her (with no explanation) in over 6 months! And Winnie doesn't even live there, any more!
