I read Thorsten Kaye wants to leave because he's sick of his character being a "father figure". I don't know about all of you, but I don't think "Dad" when I see him.

I'm all booked for Super Soap! Well, not ALL booked....just the hotel. I'm going to have to wait on the airfare since I don't even know if I can go and part of me is hoping I can't. My third IVF is coming up and I'd be 20+ weeks pregnant at the time if it works. I could always drive down if I'm not allowed to fly.

I would love to go to Soap weekend but I don't fly. If you drive and want to split some driving, give me a call I'll help. I'm just a ways down the road in Concord.
I don't have any plans to go but I could........LOL

Ok, is anyone else NOT buying Tad's reaction. I'm not a huge Dixie fan, but come on!!!! "I hate you"--isn't that a bit extreme?????? She thought she was dying, he knows from recent, personal experence how convincing and brainwashing over women Dr. Madden can be. I wouldn't have expected his response to be so over-the-top once he found out that dixie signed the papers. I would have expected him to still blame Madden. Made no sense to me. And they acted like this would be such a surprise to everyone.......were you guys surprised by any of her revelations today?

WHAT???? Zach leaving????? I won't watch anymore if he does, I watch mainly for him right now. Everything else is really stupid. Who am I kidding? I can't quit. I think I have a problem.

SOOOOO glad Lilly is oK now. That was the creepiest story line ever!!!!!!!!

I've have literally watched AMC since day ONE. Remember being a kid in the den with my best friend Gail(no..I'm not Oprah!)...and the first show with Joe's brother coming home from Viet Nam to be greeted by his mom(Kate) on the front porch of the Martin home. Sooo..let's say I've seen this show go many different directions. I have gone from school girl to mom of three watching this show. (one of which is 25 years old!)...I remember Tad...being the "cad". Anyway...probably the ONLY reason I'm still watching is because of Zach. He is the only thing this show has got going for it right now. This entire Dr. Madden thing is so far out there..it's ridiculous even by soap standards. Not because it's so unbelievable(I mean the world froze on GH..and everyone loved it!)...but because it is offensive...to both the mind and bodies of women. They have taken an extremely sensitive, personal subject of infertility and adoption and twisted it in such a way as to insult our inteligence and trivilize and dehumanize the turmoil so many viewers have personally experienced. They didn't feeze the world..they froze our emotions..you sit there and quite literally scratch your head and ponder "what in God's name were they thinking with this?". Just my opinion...but thought I'd share it. They need to bring this story to a close and quickly...I see no reason to check in daily..I watch a quick last 15 min. on soapnet to see if this horror is over..and frankly you probably only have to do that once a week on Fri. afternoon.

The whole idea of having Madden father all of the children is a little nerve-wracking to me. Anyone that undergoes a procedure like IUI or IVF has doubts - Did they give me the right embryos? Did they use the right sperm? What if they grabbed the wrong jar? But, I think any issue they deal with is going to hit home with someone - Bianca getting raped, Lily's autism.

It's just so boring.....we need more shirtless Zach!

My DH told me I should go on that girls only trip but my DS will be home for R&R during that time so I can't. I'm sure he wouldn't object to SSW.

I remember reading that about your last trip and how "zach" recognized you and said you were his lawyer. LOL I thought that was pretty cool!

Well Auntie I have to say I agree with you. I think I need to watch and and realize I'm fine if I just check in every few days. Now Bianca's back for a few which I'm not sure about. It's very depressing watching the show, that being said I can't wait for Madden to make his exit it might be just what the show needs.

Really? Did people actually like that storyline? My friend and I stopped watching GH when that happened and never went back. I always assumed everyone else hated it, too. But, maybe we were the oddballs.

I get annoyed at the storyline from the adoption angle, too. They are using totally outdated adoption language like "put up for adoption", instead of "placed". Acting like Kendall could do it on her own against Ryan's wishes. Having a world-famous fertility doctor also arrange adoptions complete with creepy island. It's all so disgusting. :blech: Yea, it all hits home to someone.
