All My Children - Dixie related

OK, I have discovered the SOAP channnel (where have I been). I have watched AMC very sporadically over the years- occasional days off etc.
Anyway, last time I was on Dixie was on there are relatively "normal" LOL!
Why is she pretending to be dead and why is she leaving?

Yeah, instead of going through the 3000 posts I was hoping for a brief synopsis of just the Dixie part.

I'm not sure why she faked her own death. She was reported dead several years ago - she was pregnant with Tad's child and they both presumably died when her car went off a cliff in Europe. (she fled to Europe because Tad was against her pregnancy due to her health - he eventually came around - but it was too late)

Her half-sister "Di", pretended to be her just recently - Dixie asked her to go to Pine Valley to check up on her family (Dixie didn't ask her to impersonate her though). It's frustrating right now - Dixie is in PV, but none of the people who want to see her (or would even know her) have seen her - she keeps getting "almost caught". Dunno where this is going.

I'm about like you, m&m's mom. I happened to "stop by" All My Children the other day and saw Dixie was back. I used to watch the show regularly years ago, but now I just pop by every once in a while. So many people are still around that I can usually catch on pretty quickly. Dixie looks just as young as she did back then! Or maybe I'm just older, too .

The thing I've been wondering about is Janet Green/Dillon. I can't remember when or why Trevor Dillon was ever married to Janet .

BTW - Are you coming to our meet, m&m's mom? It's about a month away and is posted over on the meets forum.

Yeah, I forgot to ask that too. I remember seeing the part where Di was pretending to be Dixie.
Soap operas are just so funny.
