I've kept quiet too, but can't anymore.

Chris, you & your family have been through what most of us can't begin to imagine, and surely don't want to try. You've done so with grace and dignity, and nobody, not nobody can change the opinions of the majority of the people on these Boards. Hold your head high dear, and know that we hold you in highest esteem and respect.

What goes around, comes around, and those people who throw mud will get it right back at them ten-fold.

I had the opportunity to speak with Chris yesterday and I want to tell you - this family is really a neat family - they posses everything that some wish for and even tho they are over-balanced with a child so challanged, they still consider themselves very blessed - I, myself, feel very blessed that I have come to know this family and the same with Andy and his family - this board is very blessed to have them as part of "this family" - in fact for most part everyone that takes part on this board, I believe to be sincere down to their toe nails ------anywhere in this world, you do encounter people that aren't too nice, but for most part, everyone has something good about them, well almost - anyhow the Pages are doing good and I am sure when they get time to come back they will - with both of them working, having to concern themselves with their child and their life, their plates are pretty full - I am sure they know just how much they are cared about and missed.

The one thing that stands out shining on this thread is this: there is a MULTITUDE of loving supportive people on this board that far outnumber the low lifes! Keep that in perspective and don't let a rotten apple ruin the pie! Most of us willingly open our hearts and wallets when true need exists, but scam artist sadly make even the most generous of us skeptical. How much harm this does to the truly deserving is appalling! I have worked at Give Kids the World and have seen both sides of this coin, but I have to say that the bad apples are few and far between (thank heavens), unfortunately, they certainly have a far reaching impact and hurt those who already have a full basket of heartache in their lives.
TO THE PAGE FAMILY
There are a H------ lot more good folks than the others! YOU do NOT need to defend yourself and your actions to ANY of us. It is a crying shame for you to be put in this position.

Thanks for the update Shirley.

I hope that The Page family knows how much we all care about them, all the ups and downs. It's so strange to care for someone I've never met. They just touched our lives in a way that can not be explained.

Hopefully, they'll be able to come back and read all the support they have here and get back that magical feeling.

This is a reminder to us all that words really can hurt. I know its made me think back to a post where I criticized someone about leaving a child too long in the clubs. I don't remember who it was but I'm sorry.

I keep them in my prayers everyday.

Shirley, I couldn't agree with you more, this is one class act family. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with Chris Thursday night and we had a wonderful conversation. I know when she is ready that she will return, she also knows the love and support that is represented here on the boards for the Page Family, and on a personal note, thanks Chris for confirming to me that whatever I may have posted about your family in any of my threads was approved by you, before them being posted. Hazel and I sure hope that we have the priviledge of meeting you and your family in person one day!!!
