Wow - thank you so much for all the wonderful replies. I got the information I was looking for - Im so happy!

I admit - Im a teeny bit crazy about my kids birthdays. Ive always been an over the top kind of person - Even working as a balloon artist - I would say "balloon animal . . . thats not a balloon animal . . . Ill show you a balloon animal and I make them a lifesize elephant" - this birthday should be a hard one to top!

I love Publix too - They are all over florida - Fresh produce, wonderful bakery, there is one right down the street from the gaylord palms - if you have a GPS it should come right up.

Your balloon animals are awesome! I hope the cake is beautiful! I'm sure it will be!

I'm another one that loves a good fondant. But most places do not make a good fondant. I think a lot buy the premade stuff and yeah that doesn't taste good at all. I've had fondant at real good bakeries and I was craving it for months after. And there is a buttercream frosting underneath so not only is it easy to peel back, but you can still have regular frosting for everyone else.

Does anyone else have custom - over the top cake ideas - its so hard to go though the gigantic cake thread. Ive had a devistating robbery experience tonight if you read my PTR (Last entry). I could use some happy cake ideas.
