All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Thanks Memom for the lovely parade photos. The girls look so capturised by all the characters and dancers. How sweet!
Your Christmas photos suit the English weather at the moment. It is absolutely freezing!!We were suppose to be camping this weekend, but just aren't that brave;). I am so ready for some of that lovely Floridian sunshine in 18 days.:cheer2:. We are on a bank holiday Monday over here today(no work!!), so lot's of extra time to do a bit of holiday packing:)

Just the opposite here - very warm! Enjoy your Florida sunshine, and find a way to pack some up and take it home with you. :thumbsup2

Great parade pics! I love that they measured Bella to see if she was tall enough to watch! :goodvibes

She didn't understand, but we thought it was cute. :)

What a great way to start my Monday than with a beautiful Christmas parade!!

Happy Monday.

Mother's Day and Christmas both fall in May, right?

Tall enough to watch the parade...priceless! :lmao::lmao:

:)
How do you baby Sophie will fare in October when she's only a month old?
You think she'll be tall enough to watch?

Thanks for the great parade pictures this morning, I am so looking forward to seeing it at MVMCP in November! 200 days until we take princess number 2 on her first trip.

We had a couple trips to Disney last year while I was pregnant. I love the thrill rides like Jill, but I still had a great time. It was kinda nice to be forced to slow down a bit for a change :)

Looks like you will have company from someone who will be there in 18 days. You guys should arrange to cross paths.

I am sure Jill will be glad just to be away from work doing nothing. ::yes::

That parade is so much better suited for the daytime! There are so many things you don't notice as much when it's dark out. LOVE the toy soldiers! Great pictures!

Yep, a daytime parade for sure.
The clip clop of the soldiers marching in time is a highlight of the parade.

Gotta love a parade on a Monday morning. :thumbsup2

The cast member measuring Bella was funny.

Have a great day everyone.

One more Monday down - two more to go before an eight week school break. :cheer2:

Glad you liked the parade. :goodvibes

:scratchin I think I like this plan.

;)

That's so cute! Love that parade, makes me want to go back for the holidays even more so...! :goodvibes

We would have had to sleep on a lawn chair, I suppose, but it might have qualified as an overnight stay. ;)

Love the parade pictures even if I am not really a parade person. *shocker* The horror I know! I am not really a Duffy fan either.

I love that he measured Bella. Cute!!

Nah, Duffy doesn't do it for me at all.

We love parades, though! :dance3:

I love that parade! If that doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, nothing will! I love all the multiples in the parade... reindeer, gingerbread men, toy soldiers... they just look so good in large numbers.

I agree about Duffy. I just don't get it. To me it seems like he was made up just as a money maker in the gift shops. :confused3

Love the picture of Bella waving her little arm at all the characters. So sweet!

You got some great parade pictures, I loved seeing them. It looks so cute! I do have to say, I wish Rabbit was out with the Winnie the Pooh characters, or did meet and greets...besides Goofy, he's my favorite character.

That is so cute that he measured Bella! I think I need to go find videos of this parade later, too. :)

Great parade pics. I can just hear the Toy Soldiers feet :) No good pics of Naveen? Oh dear :( Bella looked like she had fun dancing!

They are so beautifully synchronized. It is cool to watch!

Yep, from what I have read, Duffy was popular overseas, so they pushed him to be big here. I don't like things like that. Let it happen - or not happen - naturally. I've got nothing against the little bear, and the outfits are cute, but I'm not buying into the hype.

They should put Rabbit out. Good idea! :thumbsup2

I think the temperature was in the high 80's here yesterday. Not the best time to be watching a Christmas parade, I suppose, but our reports are never normal anyway, right?

Great parade pics. I can just hear the Toy Soldiers feet :) No good pics of Naveen? Oh dear :( Bella looked like she had fun dancing!

I have a Naveen story, coincidentally.
Well, not really Naveen, but one of his cousins.
As I was driving down the interstate this morning, I saw a frog on my driver's side window near the top. He was holding on for dear life! I couldn't pull over, and his efforts finally succumbed to the force of the wind. :( I was traumatized. I told Jill I feel like I should contribute to the Save the Frogs fund today in his honor. :)

I make light of it, but honestly, I feel really bad about the little frog who accidentally found his way onto my car. I am trying to think that he made it to the side of the road to make myself feel better.

Yikes! I was approx 50,000 pages behind...

So happy for the new little princess joining your family!

What a great Chef Mickeys party you had. You are so creative.

I can only imagine the craziness at Ohana while trying to separate the bill. The last time we were there in March we had 3 adults on the dining plan and 1 adult not. It took them about 95,000 times to get it straightened out.

I love the parade pictures.

It's fun to see the Christmas Parade again in May! :) I love it! But I agree with you, I could live without Duffy. I think we have plenty of characters already! I'm glad Bella was deemed tall enough to watch the parade! ;)

Oh, poor froggy. I'd be traumatized too. :( There was nothing you could do though MeMom.

I was just procrastin... um... getting ready to grade papers and I found this webcam
http://www.orlando-webcams.com/index.html

It shows downtown disney with EPCOT behind it and says at 9 you can see Illuminations!

When the page loads it is the first thumbnail pic on the left. :0)

Glad you had time to join us! I was going to put up another set of pictures tonight, but I got sidetracked, so it's going to have to wait until tomorrow.

We sure learned a lesson from what we will now officially classify in DIStown as
The 'Ohana Incident.

I'm glad Bella made the parade cut, too. She sure enjoyed it!

I have thought about that off and on throughout the day. Poor fella was stetching. I was looking for a way to pull over, but it was going to take a few minutes, and he just couldn't hang on. :sad1: I don't know that I will ever forget seeing that.

I just came in and saw this. I am going there now!

I am getting a red x and nothing else. If I click on the balloon, it shows bigger, but nothing on the fireworks one. Between the frog trouble this morning and no fireworks tonight, I don't think I did so well today. I did go to the dentis after school, then went to Kohl's to get a new pair of capris, then came home and mowed the front and side yard, and then decided while I had the mower out of the barn I would clean it out. The barn, that is. That was a chore and a half! I may not have had a great day, but at least it was productive. :)

Poor little froggy. Maybe he hopped onto another passing car.:)

I have a Proud Mama bragging right- Ethan won first place at the science fair in his category. There were 5 categories total. He also won first place overall. He will be moving onto the regional science fair on Thursday. His project was about ancient mummies. He wanted to learn why and how the Egyptians did it. He successfully mummified a beef and chicken hotdog using baking soda. It was a fun yet smelly and gross project. He also celebrates his 10th birthday tomorrow. And becoming a Disney adult tomorrow.:scared1:

I did enjoy the Christmas parade photos. It's a little funny that everyone in the pictures is dressed for warm weather, but that's Florida for you...most of the time.

I think Duffy is cute but I wouldn't spend the money on his merchandise. I'd spend it on other notable character souvenirs.

Don't think I won't be adding 'Check the car for frogs' to my morning to-do list now! ;)

Congratulations to Ethan and his work! :cheer2: DIStown does put out some great kids, doesn't it?!?!?!

And Happy Birthday to him, as well! party:

I had a smelly project once. I tried to make pickles like a friend of mine does. Stunk up the house for two weeks, and my reward was in no way the award-worthy pickle that she comes out with! :upsidedow

Love the parade pictures. I love the Christmas parade! :)

How do you feel about Jammin' Jungle, because that's coming up next... :goodvibes

I know when we get back in June it is going to be big time hot! It was hot here for a couple of days, and it reminded me very well about what is in store for us.

Maybe if it's really, really miserably hot, it'll make it easier for you to leave when it's time to do that from your upcoming visit. ::yes::

Nice pictures. Your daughters are so sweet and it's nice to see them enjoying ! Do keep posting such beautiful pics of your Disney visits. Thanks !

After the parade, we made our way out of Magic Kingdom.

As we were leaving, we saw this lady who was practically perfect in every way.

These guys are always a special treat to listen to.

IMG_7923.jpg

Throughout the morning, as she had been going from big kid ride to big kid ride (which she will have to have photographic evidence of, since Bella and I were at different places), Jill had been collecting Fastpasses for an evening ride for our DIS group.

IMG_7924.jpg

This, of course, would no longer be a strategy we could use, but with the new FP system, it should work out fine. Everyone in the group will just have to schedule the same time separately.

The afternoon was most likely spent having lunch and resting/taking naps, since I do not have any more pictures until we are in Animal Kingdom at parade time.

Big Girl going to order ice cream by herself.

IMG_7929.jpg

What?

IMG_7930.jpg

A Mickey bar?

No strawberry bar???

Never fear - there was most definitely a strawberry bar!

IMG_7932.jpg

Notice how I gave it a nice Asian background?

Makes a strawberry more so much more exciting to have it in Asia (or Africa) than it does to just pull it out of the Kroger freezer section. :)

Next parade of the day - Jingle Jungle Parade.

Have a good day, all!

And check your cars for frogs!

Great parade pics! And what a big girl Brooklynn is ordering her own ice cream.

I will watch for frogs.:)

I guess that means the pictures are showing up, then. Photobucket was being crazy this morning, showing some and not showing some. I am at school now, so I can't see any of them.

I can't wait to have special time with my big Brooklynn-girl this summer!

Good for you in joining the Save the Frogs campaign. :thumbsup2
