Here we go, hope that you enjoy reading our trip report, we definitely enjoyed our trip :thumbsup2 I will start with some background, just incase you hadn’t caught our ptr :confused3 It goes like this............................. Our trip duration was 15th July 2010 until 31st July 2010. We split up our trip into three parts. Part one was staying at Port Orelans Riverside, part two was staying at Clearwater beach and our third part was staying at the Hilton Downtown Disney.
Who was on the trip well let me do some introductions. There was myself, DH, DS, DD1 and DD2, gran and granddad:-

As we were flying from Gatwick we left our home in Scotland on 14th July and caught a flight from Glasgow to Gatwick. We built in a overnight stay at the Hilton so that the kids were all fresh for the long flight on 15th July. The kids were v excited at the airport and when we boarded the plane:-

The flight was great as it was only an hour long nowhere near the nine hours we would be on board the following day. We left Glasgow about 7pm and had reached our hotel by about 9pm. We didn’t manage to get the kids to sleep until around 10:30pm but that could have been the pizza we got from room service for us all when we got to the hotel :rotfl:
Oh I do need to sort out my signature and ticker, any tips would be great and I will sort out the photo sizes for my next update!

Next up our travelling day to WDW and our great arrival in sunny Florida .......................................

yay - you have started. We have made similar plans the last 2 trips. Last year we stayed at a different airport hotel but 2 trips ago we stayed at the Hilton and it is so handy.

I can imagine how excited they were!

Can't wait to hear more!

Today was the day we had been waiting for, for over 18 months  we were getting on a BA flight to Orlando International Airport at 11:20am, how excited we all were :cool1: All up and dressed ready to enjoy our breakfast at the hotel by 8:00am. Breakfast didn’t turn out how we had planned it would, nice and quite before the busy airport. There had been a conference on the evening prior, that explained the busy lobby on arrival. Breakfast was very busy :scared1: our time clashed with the conference breakfast . First there was a queue to get seated, then there was not enough staff on to clear and make up the tables, we were seated at a table which had been vacated which had no cutlery. Can you imagine v excited children waiting to go to the buffet and then having no cutlery or glass for orange juice, they ended up not eating and we rather rushed ourselves. We did not need to check in but we knew that going through security would take time and the kids visiting the shops for a toy before going on the airplane. We boarded a mini monorail take a wee look, this was setting us up for that ride to MK :cheer2:

Security was no trouble :thumbsup2 we settled ourselves down waiting to go to the departure gate. DD2 explored the floor whilst DS and DD1 went off to the shops.

They came back with a car and a small football. It was time to board, we captured some snaps during our journey

I did think I had reduced the size of the pictures :confused3 I'll try again

All in all the flight was fairly eventful, DD1 napped twice and DD2 slept for 4 hours in the one go :flower3: We still never managed to watch a movie as they did not napped together. All seated belted up and landing in a thunderstorm was interesting :scared1: 3:20pm we landed at Orlando International Airport only for the captain to announce due to health & safety we had to stay on board until the storm had passed as there would be no ground staff available to bring the plane in until then. It could have been worse we could have been circling the airport :scared1: One hour later we were heading toward customs. Then it was time for

I am not going to post the photo on board again which was taken as we waited on more passengers to arrive. This was a nice way to leave the airport and different from the usual way, thinking about the best route to take to our hotel or making sure we were driving on the correct side of the road  One thing we didn’t think was that it was much of an express :confused3 Having never taken the ME from the airport before we did not know if it was normal to wait for the bus to fill or if they have set times for vacating :confused3 At 6:45pm we left to headed to

After a long day we needed some fuel so we used up a counterservice at the riverside mill. DS had a cheeseburger, DH had a cheeseburger, DD1 and DD2 shared chicken bites and apple sauce and I created some penne pasta with chicken and parmasan. Way too tired for food pictures at this time. All fed and watered we took a lovely walk over to Room 9506, Magnolia Bay

Our next day was MK...................

Port Orleans Riverside looks lovely. We have never stayed onsite but plan to do at least a few days this year. Can't wait to see more.
