All day at AK + ROL questions+ breakfast

And most importantly, don't forget....you can get a Dole whip WITH RUM in AK :) Grab one and sit and watch Burudika Band (African drummers) in front of Dawa Bar. Excellent use of 30 minutes of your 13 hours. I *heart* AK--second only to MK for me.

Whoa! Dole Whip with rum? :faint: Thats my all-time favorite treat when at Disneyland. I am all over this! :thanks: DH loves the drummers; all African music really. This will be fun for him. :woohoo: He has traveled to Africa 3x.

Frankly, I have no problem spending all day, 13 hours, at AK. I could spend hours at Panjani and Marajah Jungle Trek alone just watching the animals. At around 4:30, it's such fun to watch them bring in the bachelor gorillas. The pathway is fairly narrow (at least they think so) so they can only go in one at a time. The CM distracts all of others, usually with food, until it's the next one's turn (they have walkie talkies to coordinate it). Then all the others get distracted except the one going in now. This whole process can take 1/2 an hour or so. It reminds me of why, as a teacher, I could never let more than one 8th grade boy go to the pencil sharpener at a time-like the gorillas, they'll play "push and shove and chase your friend" if allowed to go at the same time. No problem spending all day (or more) at AK.

Great tip! I will definitely have to add that to our next AK day.

Wow! What a neat thing to watch. I will definitely add this to our list. :thanks: Love the 8th grader analogy. :lmao:
