Sorry can't find a wiki on the xmas superthread & can't find on DL site.

When will all decorations (including giant tree) be up, Santa be there, & snow fall after fireworks?

Start of holiday fireworks looks like Nov 12 on the Entertainment Schedule -- so is it Nov 12?

Thanks!

You are correct, the Holiday season starts on the 12th of November. We were there last year during the week leading up to the first holiday day and new things went up everyday but there was no Santa or "snow" until the Holiday season started.

We have been there on Veteran's Day before and Xmas decorations are up.

As previously stated - the official holiday season starts (this year) on November 12th. There will be decorations going up as soon as HalloweenTime is over on November 1st (possibly even a day or so before), and then it's a gradual process of putting them up over the course of 11 days (too extensive to do over a couple of nights, which is why you see things going up early rather than on November 11th or whenever). Most likely the giant tree and all of the other 699 trees around DLR will be up a couple of days before 11/12. The giant Mickey pumpkin was up a couple of days before Halloween Time began this year.

On November 12, all of the entertainment will begin, including the parade and fireworks, all of the Santa appearances around DLR (he will be in at least 4 places, possibly 5), the Reindeer Round-Up will be open, the carolers will be strolling the resort, IASW Holiday will be open, the Winter Castle's nighttime icicle lights will be all aglow, and the snow will fall on Main Street!!

I love Christmas season at Disneyland. :santa:
Hoping we can make it to DL this december!!!

I know there is a giant thread to this topic already but to save myself some time I hope to ask a question. Is there some "tree lighting ceremony" similar to the one at WDW where the they light up the LED Christmas tree and then the wreaths that hang over main street light up and the castle as well? Does the Christmas tree have LED lighting? Just wondering.

Yep, DLR has the exact same thing as what you're describing from WDW. You can always post a question in the giant thread - it is the Christmas superthread, basically, so it's good to subscribe!!

Do they light the tree only once a year or every night?

I think it's every night. They have the tree lit up to a point, and then every night at a certain time they do the little LED thing that KCmike described above - the wreaths light up and the little lighting 'show' or display extends from the Castle all the way up Main Street and to the enormous tree. And then the tree turns a sort of ice blue color, as do the wreaths and the trees around the Partners statue - it's supposed to look like it has snowed on the trees and that's why they are glowing the icy blue color.
