All booked for October 2012 - Clubcard bargains!

We have finally booked our flights for October this year - 17 glorious days in heaven, staying a villa at The Manors at Westhaven.

After spending a couple of months scouring the flight operators looking for decent prices for flights the lowest seemed to be around £625 per adult. The Virgin price for the flights we are actually taking was £639.

With the magic of Clubcard Rewards we have got those prices down to just £556 per adult, simply by converting £8 per person in clubcard vouchers to Virgin miles and purchasing miles and money flights! A total saving of around £400 for the five of us, for an outlay of £40!!

We are also using Clubcard vouchers to exchange for Avios, using their February promotion (1000 Avios per £2.50 exchanged instead of the usual 600) for our car hire while we're there.

Dodge Grand Caravan for 17 days will cost us about £215 in vouchers rather than the cash price of £472!

Overall savings so far - £600+

happy planning - I love Clubcard bargains and it would appear that the relationship is going strong with the introduction of Virgin miles as well as Virgin Holidays.

One way or another Tesco always pay for my holidays (although I do earn my wages!)
