Hi! I've heard great things about the All-American College Band that performs during the summer at Disneyland. I'll be there next week and would love to see them. Does anyone happen to know when and where they perform in the park? Thanks. I'm counting down until my very first trip to Disneyland next week. :sunny:

They perform every day except Sunday and Monday. According to the schedule for last Friday through yesterday, they were performing at the Plaza Gardens Stage at 2:30, in front of the castle at 4, at the Club Buzz Stage at 5, and on Main Street at 6 and 6:25.

I'd really appreciate a report on how they are. DS was fortunate enough last year to be in the AACB, and although some former members have been able to see them this year, he hasn't, They have a new director this year, too, so he was really wondering how they're doing. Probably still great!
And the schedule iceskatinjen posted, that doesn't change-it's the same times every week and every year.

We saw them before the evening parade in June, and they were fantastic. I wasn't aware that they were going to perform, so it was a surprise to me. I just remember they had great movement, getting the crowd involved and all. Very enjoyable!

Wow..what a treat it was to get to see this band several times this past week! I caught several of their performances, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. This was one of the highlights of my very first week at Disneyland after numerous trips to WDW, and I want to return next summer just to hear them again. (I sure wish they had a band like this at WDW.)

The band played several traditional pieces at the Plaza Gardens Stage including "The Trolley Song" and several great classic Disney pieces in front of the castle. They also did a marvelous job with the 6 PM Flag Ceremony and the pre-parade music down Main Street following the Flag Ceremony. (If you've never caught the Flag Ceremony, it's very special. It's done at WDW too.)

These 20 college students were so full of energy, and seemed so happy to be a part of this special band. They often high-fived the crowds on the way marching in or marching out. I thought the new band director did a fabulous job as well, and loved his comments to those in attendance. (He is a former band member himself.) He did a nice job of introducing each of the band members and telling what school they were from between the pieces. You could tell he really cared about each of the students, and hated to see them leave in a few weeks. Be sure and hear them before they leave if you can.

I heard them in front of the Castle. Unfortunately DD was asleep in my arms so I couldn't see them perform. At the time I was more worried that they would wake DD up but she was so tired she slept through it all ... It sounded like they had a great time, I enjoyed the music and DH stood up on the seat so he could see them.

Wow, I just did a search and found this thread. The band has this same schedule of performances every summer, so for those of you going in 2007, you'll see them at the same time as in 2006. When DS was a member a couple years ago, I thought they were terrific, but then again, I'm kind of biased. I know a couple of the members this coming summer, and they're bound to be as good.

Fyi, Backstage Pass (the magazine for DL AP's) arrived today and mentions the college band will be performing June 14th to August 13th.
