Well....
I haven't been sleeping all week since I was worried we were going to hit NYC traffic and we didn't.
So I slept ok. I was up all night but I not tired. We had our beds turned down in both rooms at 8 and we were in bed by 8:30. I woke up a few hours later and at 1:44 we were in the myrtle beach area of SC. I never heard or felt the stop in Florence.
At 4:15 we were in savannah. So while I was up all night I did get some sleep and I not tired. I was more tired when we drove last year and I was more tired yesterday from lack of sleep.
We have less then an hour left.
On our return we will have a family bedroom so we get to try all the rooms.
If we like it and plan on taking the train next year we will book that. If we don't, we will book a deluxe sleeper/bedroom side by side/door open between.
I took a shower in our room. Oy....I sent my Dh downstairs since I knew it was bigger and he said it worked well.
We didn't go to breakfast til about 7:30. It was full. And as soon as they made an announcement we left and got a table.
We are 2 cars away from the dining car. We still haven't ventured to the lounge as they were using it for breakfast. Really our room is fine to hang out in.
The only bad thing is that there is a 12ish yr old boy who has been throwing up in the room next to us. And do you think his mom could keep him and his contaminated self in their room? Nope. The kid goes from the bedroom to the roomette a and back and then cries that he has to throw up as he is touching everything. I think also with them are to younger kids that were running up and down the hall last night, but that was before we went to bed. I think they had the 7:30 dinner since it got quiet at that point.
So far I enjoying the train.
