I would like some input on these- and would like to set-up the basic guidelines in the next month so anyone can start on it when they would like because it could be good.

Please include a picture of yourself- so we can have a face to go with the name.

I was not planning on having any element requirements- the point of this is to share who you are with the group- it can be a digital page, a fairly plian page or as fancy as you would like.

I would like some thought an input on content- Would you like specific questions that people answer- if so what:

name and disname are obvious but what about things like:

how long have you been scrapping?
what is your favorite embellishment?
why do you scrapbook?
what do you love about Disney?
where are you from?
what shaped you into who you are today?
What are some of your favorite- color, season, disney ride/disney character/disney meal?
How did you find the Dis?
What is your favorite Disney resort?
What is your favorite Disney restaurant?
When is your birthday?
What hobbies, besides scrapping, do you do?
Where, other than Disney, is your favorite vacation spot?
Do you have any traditions that you do when you visit Disney?

Also would any kiddies like to have a group for them to learn about there friends- maybe with just disname not actual name or onl first names on these?

The poll deals with the size and layout of pages if you plan on signing up please vote so we can use everyone's input.

I voted 8x8 single. This way I could possibly get everyone into one book. There is still room to do something cool with it and if you go digital, it's easy to cut down. You could one get one 6x6 or 8x8 from an 8-1/2 x 11 anyway.
The 6x6 would be more economical, 4 pages from a 12x12, for paper people, but I really want to know as much as possible about a person and their style. I think the 8x8 would allow more variety of layout possibilities.

I like questions. It gives me a starting point. I would guess it would be okay if we didn't answer every one of them? For those who don't want to get to personal?

These can be Disney or regular?

I was just listing possible questions- if others have any just post them and I will add them to the thread. Which questions anyone answers is up to them- I am not going to check for anything other than having enough for everyone. The whole purpose of this is to get to know each other better so I want everyone to be free to be as creative as they want.

I thought I would buy a package of 8 by 8 paper if we went that root- I think it would be easier to fit more information on an 8 by 8.

I like 8x8 single also. 6x6 is nice to save paper, but it's just too hard to fit much on there. Were you thinking we'd include a photo also?

I like 8x8 size and like the double page layouts... really depends on what is included on the page. I am one who loves to decorate a page, but diffently
8x8.

How about a question asking what other intererst we have besides scrapbooking? Our favorite season / color / disney ride/ disney park/ disney character/ character meal.

8x8 works for me - again, the pack of paper idea is :goodvibes Maybe 6x6 would work for kiddos though - they could assemble them as part of a 12x12 book to save having a whole new album with maybe only 6 pages in it;)

8x8 works for me, either single or double, it would probably depend on how many people there are.

I think I'll pass on the kidlet books though. I'm kind of anal about keeping their info private.

I'd like 8x8, single or double.
I'm participating in one now with a scrapbooking group that I crop with each week. I should see a few ideas tonight. The rules were only: 12x12, single page, your name and at least one currentish picture. If anything is exceptionally fun or unique, I'll come back and share the idea.
Thanks,
Vicki

I think 8x8 single page would be good. That way there's room for a picture and some info. I think 2 pages would be too much. :thumbsup2

Single page would be more economical too:thumbsup2

I like the 8x8 single page also.

Here are some possible questions I thought of:

How did you find the Dis?
What is your favorite Disney resort?
What is your favorite Disney restaurant?
When is your birthday?
What hobbies, besides scrapping, do you do?
Where, other than Disney, is your favorite vacation spot?
Do you have any traditions that you do when you visit Disney?

I saw 5 out of 12 pages last night. They are all very different. I thought it was funny, given the guidelines we had- some put a picture and their name on pretty paper and some created layouts with tons of info, embellishments, photos, techniques on them. Since I know all of these girls pretty well, even that told something about them-kwim? I will enjoy all of them! Just an observation, so really nothing new to add. lol.
I'm excited about this swap and hope lots of people participate!

Bumping up for anyone else that would like some input on page sizes.

Rebecca

I have a couple of questions.
Would we do a single page, & if so does that mean just a photo in the front & then our info as well?:confused3 I think that sounds like fun....:yay:

You would be doing a full page- 8by8 seems to be the consentious. On that poage you would include a photo of yourself and your disname as well as any toher information you want to share about yourself- the page could be as elborate or as simple as you wanted. Basically it would end up creating a book of disboard friends for each of us when we finish.

That's really cool. That's kind of what I want to do with my ATC's as well. Everyone does an ATC with a pic of them on it. That sounds great. When were you thinking of doing this swap? How many per group were you thinking?

ok I'm :confused3 Does this surprise anyone?!
How is this this different than a CJ or is it like that only we just do a page on ourselves so that our friends know us better? With this group Im just about willing to try anything once! Twice if its fun!:goodvibes

This would be similar to a circle journal is the topic was: Tell me all About You! The other difference is everyone does the page about themselves(1 per person signed up) and then mails it to me. You will get the pages back much faster than if we passed them around like a circle journal.

I plan on keeping mine near the computer so I can look people up as they mention things like prayer- it seems like it would give me more of a connection with them.
