All Aboard! A Disney and Orlando Unleashed TR!TONS of PICS! Update 1/2 pg 25

Glad you didn't let bad service ruin your evening.
And you definitely made the best of a rainy night.

Oh Diane that was a bummer with the service and the rain, but as I posted on Lesley's TR, you all just took it in stride, and how fun the evening even turned out after all :goodvibes Wine in the room! Sounds perfect to me! ;)

Some great photos of everyone! I can't wait to read your next post, that comment "I am sorry, you're how old?" that had me laughing, b/c I say that often...

Looking forward to it! :surfweb:

See...ya got a chance to pretend to have a little girl.
The braids look adorable on an adorable lit'l girl! Love
all the family pics, their great!!

Whew! Boy am I glad to see that the Ghost of Bryan is gone now. You guys look so snazzy all dressed up for the evening. That stinks about the service at Ohana, but I'm glad you were able to laugh about it (Yahtzee, anyone?). An evening at AKL sounds magical to me. Maybe we'll get rained out one night in September. hmmmmm Oh, and thanks for the pics of AKL - I can't wait to be there!!!

What? Lesley has a Trip Report? I gotta go find it! I love how her kids' clothes matched up too.

Beautiful shots of your family at both the AKL and the Poly!

What a shame that the service was so rotten at dinner. :( Despite the rain, it sounds like you had a fun evening back at the resort, and Lauren's hair is so cute!!! Good job, Diane! :goodvibes

Another great update Diane! I love that picture of the boys walking down the corridor!

Good for you guys not letting poor service ruin your evening:thumbsup2 I love the food there....those pot stickers are heavenly. Don't even get me started on how much I love the bread pudding, I could lick that plate clean!

Lauren is absolutely adorable in her braids....great job on them!!!

Isn't bad service the worst?! Especially when you are paying that much gratuity....makes you wonder if the servers don't even try to be good, since they know your table is a guaranteed 18%. Grr. :headache:

But it looks like you made the best of a bad situation! And the kids all look so cute and like they were having a great time! :thumbsup2

Diane, I meant to comment how beautiful and truly happy you look in that shot with the pink beverage. Just radiant!

Everyone looked so nice dressed up

That stinks you had lousy service. Glad the food was good at least

Sounds like you had a fun evening despite the rain

Lauren looked adorable. Good Job :goodvibes

Glad to hear you guys didn't let the bad service affect your overall night.

That's disappointing when you receive that kind of service when the tip is added irregardless.

I thought your family pics turned out great. Love the theme with the black shirts. I am thinking about trying that for a family pic at the beach this summer. Your hair looks great. Did you cut it shorter and maybe get a highlight ? Whatever you did it looks fabulous !

Sorry the O'hana service wasn't great but the food looked delicious. Sounds like you and Lesley had a fun night with the kids. Lauren's hair looks adorable!

I just love your TRs Diane! I guess cuz we have 2 boys the same age as yours and we're not far from Phila and LOVE the Jersey Shore! What shore town are you in?? We have family in Brigatine and Mays Landing. My BIL also just bought a house in Bradley Beach.

ANother great update! Lauren's hair looks so cute!

We've had spotty service at Ohana, too....both breakfast and dinner. But at least the food is always very good.

We used to have a place in Brigantine, miss it!!!

Great pics you all took at the Poly, so sorry about the lousy service, but think having your car to get to ADRs at the hotels is priceless! You missed a very soggy night at MK, I had to do laundry the next am because our clothes were so soaking wet!

Hi Diane,
Great update as always. Too funny, I just read Lesley's update too. Cool that you have different pics and sometimes in different places. But it looks like your families have a blast together and I love the group pictures too :goodvibes. I love the family pictures you got taken at AKL. Sorry about your server at 'Ohana. I think our server was just okay there in June. Looks like you had a blast, love the Poly pics with all of you! Lauren's braids look adorable, nice job. I can't french braid either and poor Kaylee only gets them when another mom who can is around ;).

For having 2 boys you are a pretty good braider there Diane!! :goodvibes

I am so very intrigued by your remarks regarding your next update! Can't wait!

Glad you didn't let bad service ruin your evening.

Thanks, yes we did manage to make the best of it!

Thanks! That was the first time we had bad service there! Lesley and I enjoyed chatting with some wine and doing Lauren's hair!!

See...ya got a chance to pretend to have a little girl.

Yes, Lauren is a pleasure to have around and I live vicariously through my nieces and now Lauren!! Thanks for the compliments!

Too funny Susan about the ghost of Bryan being gone...it's amazing what a shower can wash away!! There is so much to do and see at the AKL....it really is such a unique resort!! I hope you found Lesley's TR!!

Beautiful shots of your family at both the AKL and the Poly!

What a shame that the service was so rotten at dinner. :( Despite the rain, it sounds like you had a fun evening back at the resort, and Lauren's hair is so cute!!! Good job, Diane! :goodvibes

Thanks Jackie! We made a fun night out of bad circumstances!!

Thanks! It is frustrating when services don't earn their 18 % but you are still required to give it! We did make the best of it!

Diane, I meant to comment how beautiful and truly happy you look in that shot with the pink beverage. Just radiant!

Oh my goodness Susan this comment made my night! Thank you so much!! I am always happy at WDW AND whenever I have a drink in my hand!!

Everyone looked so nice dressed up

That stinks you had lousy service. Glad the food was good at least

Thanks Kelly! Lesley teases (good naturedly of course) me about us a dressing alike but the pictures always turn out so cute!

Glad to hear you guys didn't let the bad service affect your overall night.

Thanks so much! We are from Toms River! My dad lives in Mays Landing too! We go to Lavallette to the beach or Point Pleasant!

ANother great update! Lauren's hair looks so cute!

We've had spotty service at Ohana, too....both breakfast and dinner. But at least the food is always very good.

Thanks melody, I really enjoyed doing her hair! Yes the food is always good!

We used to have a place in Brigantine, miss it!!!

Do you believe I have never been to Brigantine...those radio commercials for the haunted house used to freak me out when I was younger! Is that still there? I think it was called Brigantine castle?!?

Great pics you all took at the Poly, so sorry about the lousy service, but think having your car to get to ADRs at the hotels is priceless! You missed a very soggy night at MK, I had to do laundry the next am because our clothes were so soaking wet!

Thanks Laura! Yes, having our car there that night was PRICELESS, especially with the rain!! Sorry you all got so soaked!!

Thanks Nichole! Our family and Lesley's family do have a blast together, they are very easy to get along with...it makes it easy!!! Thanks for the braid and picture compliments!

For having 2 boys you are a pretty good braider there Diane!! :goodvibes

I am so very intrigued by your remarks regarding your next update! Can't wait!

Thanks! I grew up in a house full of girls so braiding hair is something I have always done! Update coming tomorrow morning!

Father's Day, Day 2!!
While Bryan was downstairs the night before with Tim in the lobby, I guess they decided that sleeping in on Father's Day was a GREAT idea!! I was more than happy to let Bryan sleep in but I felt bad for the boys because they were really excited to go to Holywood Studios...SO, I decided to take them by myself!!

While we got up and got ready to leave we tried to be as quiet as we could but it is hard in a studio so eventually Bryan woke up...so, we were all excited to give him his Father's Day gifts and he was more than happy to receive them!!

I struggled with what to give him. Last year we gave him a massage at the Saratoga Springs Resort Spa and he loved it. One day back at home I was reading a thread on the DIS about the Segway tour in Epcot and thought that this was the PERFECT gift for Bryan! I cut out pictures of segways and Spaceship Earth and taped them on his card.....he was SO EXCITED when he saw it and couldn't wait to go...he said "now THAT is a cool gift!" The boys also gave him their handmade cards and poems. After kisses and hugs and thank you's, the boys and I were out the door!

We arrived at DHS with about 1/2 til rope drop....

This picture of Matthew cracks me up!

IMG_1307.jpg

At about 8:50 they started to let us in! Now without Bryan we had to change our strategy a bit. Usually, Bryan runs for a TSM fastpass and the kids and I wait in the standby line but with him not being there, we just decided to do standby!

Here are the boys eager anticipating rope drop!

IMG_1308.jpg

A crowd scene for ya....

IMG_1309.jpg

Before we knew it we were on our way! The boys, especially Eric did a great job keeping up and we made it back to TSM without a ton of people in front of us!

IMG_1314.jpg

The boys love the part in Toy Story 2 when Mrs. Potato Head says to Mr. Potato head "I packed your angry eyes" so they said these were his angry eyes!

IMG_1313.jpg

The boys rode together and I rode alone...

IMG_1315.jpg

Here is my score, not great, but not bad either!

IMG_1317.jpg

After our ride, we walked our way over to the Tower of Terror, Eric's favorite!

Look at this line at TSM for fastpasses!!

IMG_1318.jpg

IMG_1319.jpg

RIDICULOUS! I seriously think that if you are not in the first wave of people into the park that standing in this line is a huge waste of time, especially in the more crowded times of year! The line was about 40 minutes long!!

Onto the TOT...the boys were pretending to be afraid!

IMG_1321.jpg

Our ride photo, we are on the right in the middle!

IMG_1322.jpg

They changed some of the enhancements to this ride and they are really cool! I won't give it away but I will say that "you" are way more involved in the ride now!

After our random drops at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, we made our way over to get fastpasses for RNRC...Eric was dying to go for the first time! He wasn't tall enough in November!

Success!!

IMG_1323.jpg

Fastpasses baby!!

IMG_1324.jpg

After our fastpass collecting, we headed to the Animation Studio to wait for Lotso from Toy Story 3!!

IMG_1325.jpg

The scene was adorable!

IMG_1326.jpg

We hadn't seen the movie yet so couldn't relate to the decor in line but it sure was cute!

IMG_1327.jpg

IMG_1328.jpg

they had a sign language poster and Eric was trying to sign his name to me!

IMG_1331.jpg

IMG_1332.jpg

Before we knew it, Lotso arrived on the scene!

IMG_1339.jpg
