Alien Swirling Saucers boarding?

I'm sure this is explained somewhere but I've never seen it.

I saw a video where the person was boarding. She was standing on a numbered spot on the floor (11) and commented that she got a purple ride vehicle. So - apparently you are assigned to board a specific ride vehicle? How do you know which one is yours? (How do you match your numbered boarding spot to the right vehicle?)

Both times I've been on it everyone just walked out and picked one.

When the gates open from that holding area (where you line up on a number), you select your own vehicle - first come first on. It's like Tea Cups in that regard.

I suspect the numbered system in that holding area is for queue organization/CM efficiency, to some extent.

I will get on this ride someday! in 3 trips either the line has been too long for us or the ride has gone down while I was in line.

Unless a kid decides they want to ride alone instead of with their parents and you are stuck standing there....looking stupid LOL!! I tried to get in with my sister and nephew and they said NO, 3 adults can't ride together and they made him get out of his saucer and get in with his parents LOL!!! I guess the other kid held up the ride, not me, but I felt soooo stupid standing there like I was lost LOL!!!

Thanks all! I always thought it was like the teacups but that one video threw me. Looking forward to riding this in February!
