Can anyone tell me about the Alice in Wonderland Tea? Where is it held? Would it be appropriate for a 4 year old? Is it a daily event? What is the price? Do you make a PS like a restaurant?

Thanks for any help you can provide! :D

You can book it at 90 days. It's held at the Grand Floridian.

This is what I got right here on the Dis:

The “Wonderland Tea Party” is offered Monday and Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The cost is $28.17 per child.

There is a maximum of 25 children to ensure that each child gets a lot of personal attention from the entertainment (Mad Hatter & Alice usually, but this is subject to change) and the recreation Cast Members.

Cancellations must be done at least 24 hours in advance or there is a $10 “no show” charge. Children attending the Tea Party must be potty trained and must arrive 15 minutes prior to tea-time. Ages 3 to 10.

No parents allowed.

I gave my DD a disposible camera to use while in there!

It is really cute. My DD4 went this past May and had a great time. The kids have apple "tea", sandwiches, and decorate cupcakes. Then they play games with Alice and the Mad Hatter. I think they played Hatter Says (like Simon Says) and some variation of hide and go seek. At the end, you'll get a picture of your child with Alice and the Mad Hatter and a little bouquet of flowers.

My seven year old attended last month (it was a Tuesday) and we didn't know what to expect beforehand either. You check your child in and are given a pager in case your child needs you while you are away. Then the moms wait for the doors to open and help their child find a seat. I could tell right away that Carly would love it. Flowers, confetti, and girly stuff everywhere! While my mother, son, and I ae lunch elsewhere in the hotel I saw two moms who brought their little girls together get paged. Their girls looked to be about three and Carly told me later they started crying when the Hatter came out. Make sure you are back on time because the kids have a surprise for you. Carly told me they had tiny turkey sandwich, chicken nuggets, strawberry sandwiches (she didn't touch) and had their dessert first. She truly had a wonderful time and I found myself thinking she was the perfect age for it. If your four year old is comfortable with the characters and being out of your sight for a short time (an hour goes by fast) then she should love it. Hope that helps.

Thank you all so much for the information! I think my DD will love it - (She loves Alice and thinks that the mad hatter is hysterical!) Thank you again!

Just had to add my "thumbs up" for the Tea party with Alice. My 4 year old daughter LOVED every minute of it and still talks about it! She wants to do it again.

I was thinking of sending my DS who is 3 with his older brother who is 7 to this. Do you think that would be o.k.? My younger DS does really good with strangers and I know that my older DS would look out for him. Or should I wait another year?

My daughter has attended the Wonderland Tea Party many times, most recently last month. I wrote about one of her prior tea parties in a trip report -- click here to view it (just look for the post entitled, "Grand Floridian Day Three, Part 2"). The words in my post are my daughter's, so you'll see the event from a child's perspective.
