I have seen pictures of the Alice In Wonderland costumes from WDW stores on the disboards? Does anyone know approximately how much these cost? And what is the biggest size for girls they sell? Has anyone ever seen these in the Disney stores in malls?

TIA,
Melanie

We purchased it in July 06 it was 40 dollars. I am not sure what the biggest size is but I would be a large which is about a nine. I could be wrong on this maybe someone else will the largest size. I needed the smallest size. We purchased ours in downtown disney at World of Disney. To be honest I don't know if they even sell them anywhere else except may the Grand Floridian.

I was just reading on the trip report thread yesterday...where the posters DD purchased an Alice dress...she mentioned also said it was $40. She said they purchased a larger size so her DD could wear it for quite sometime (get all the use out of it that you can)....anyways I want to say it was larger than 9...but I could be wrong.

BTW...she had some CUTE pics of her DD wearing the dress. I have to say...the dress looked well worth the $$...it was VERY cute and looked just like Alices.

Thanks everyone! $40 sounds reasonable, but I'm going to keep my eye on ebay too. I want her to wear it for MNSSHP and that is on our second day there, so I'd rather get it before we leave. We are going to DTD the first night, but it would be just my luck for it to be out of stock or not to have her size.

Thanks again,
Melanie

We just went to Disney for Spring Break... at Downtown Disney they have a store that is nothing but these costumes/dresses etc... and has the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo (Princess Make Over) Salon in it. That dress was more like $50 - $60 and they had it at MGM and Epcot too. What we saw was more of a DRESS really than a costume... my daughter tried to get me to buy it for Easter LOL...

I bought the Alice dress in the World of Disney store in DTD in February. I think it was $40 or $45. The neck is VERY small- my daughter, who's a petite 3 year old, struggled to get the size S (5-6) over her head. It has a stretchy back, so, it did fit. I didn't want to go any larger because she was already swimming in the S, but I also didn't want to go any smaller b/c I wanted her to be able to wear it for a while.

If you have a Disney Visa, you can get 10% off at the WOD store.

As others have said, the dress is available at other stores- Grand Floridian gift shop on the second floor and England in Epcot.

The costume is very nice. It's a cottony fabric with a with an attached apron. it has "Alice" embroidered on it. The skirt, as my daughter would say, is "super twirly!" and she loves wearing it. The back of the dress (torso area) is a different type of fabric. It's stretchy and I think the backs of most princess dresses are made of the same fabric.

I had a hard time buying this costume-- she owns every princess dress, but I've rarely paid over $15 for each (love the post-Halloween sales!). I just couldn't see paying $40 for Alice, but she LOVED it so much, I just had to buy it!

If you want the Alice dress before you go, you could always contact memoriesbysarah.com and I'm sure she'll either ship it to you or have it waiting in your room as a surprise!

We are going to GF in Dec. & the 1900 Park Fare w/ Alice for b'fast & I want the Alice dress for my DD who will be 2 in Aug. I contacted Disney merch. & they said the smallest size available was a 4 but now I am wondering if I should get that size...DD already wears a 2 now. Can anyone who has bought this from Disneyworld give me any info on the smallest size available? Thanks!

I was lucky enough to get one 75% off at WOD in New York last year after Halloween - regular price was $39.50. I think the quality is worth the original price. The one I got is a small and is a 6/6X if that helps.

My dd has the 4/5 from disney world she is very petite and it is really to small for her in the sense that there is no growing room but she is 6 going on 7.

Well, now I'm wondering if I should go ahead & order the 4/5 from Disney merchandise. My DD will be 2 by then...I'm torn about what to do b/c I really want her to have the costume by Halloween but obviously I don't want to get it if it's going to be huge. Do you have any pictures of the dress?

My dd is 4 and 40 inches tall. Her Alice dress from DTD is a sz small 6/6x. It is big in the waist (my dd is pretty thin), but has a tie in the back so you can cinch it as tightly as you need to. The dress was somewhere around $50-$60 in March at DTD, but I thought it was worth it. It is very soft and not "scratchy" as are a lot of the princess costumes. I saw them also at the toy shop in Great Britain at Epcot, and at a gift shop at the GF. I will try to attach a pic so you can judge the length, but I would say if your dd is a sz 2t, the xsmall 4/5 will be a little bit big on her. But you can always tie it tightly in the back, and she will probably be able to wear it for a couple of years.

hey all! i was just on ebay about ten min ago and there is someone selling custom alice costumes- had a variety of sizes for $35 plus $6 shipping. sometimes i find that the customs are better quality because the seamstress handmakes it with sturdier fabric and you can make sure it fits because you send your childs measurements. just a thought!
the seller is ghoedlp64

These are two of three pics that I could find of my dd from dec she is 6 and the dress that she has on is a 4/5. When she pulls it over her head it is a little small but otherwise the dress fit her its a little short now since she has grown a few inches since we were there last.
