Alice and Mad Hatter Musical Chairs

I asked someone who definitely would know, and he says they do musical chairs every day at 2:30 at Coke Corner. If your child wants to be part of it, they should go up and ask the Hatter as soon as he arrives.

We went today and it was the first time we have tried to go and it didn't happen. DD9 asked the piano player right at 2:30 if Alice was coming out to play and he said he didn't know. At that moment, Alice and Mad Hatter came out...he must have been going on break because he went over and said something to the two characters, then they all went backstage. A few minutes later, they came back out and said they didn't have a piano player and were just going to take photos and meet everyone....we will probably try again tomorrow...

Went again today and no musical chairs again....:sad1:

Renee, how disappointing! Two days in a row?!

I know! We have never gone and had it NOT happen. DD9 had such a great experience last time. When she got "out", they asked her to recite a joke or if she had a hidden talent. She told them her hidden talent was playing the piano, so they had the guy playing the piano for musical chairs get up and let her play a song! She was hoping that would happen again so she could play "It's a Small World" -- she has been working on that one.

That would be awesome if she got to play "It's a Small World"--you know they'd make a fuss over that song! I think my little boy told a joke (that nobody understood) and my little girl danced. Of course my son was wearing a Mad Hatter custom t-shirt so the Mad Hatter made him win the game even though really he totally lost and my daughter was the only little girl wearing an Alice dress, so Alice just loved her.

So third try was a charm for us...musical chairs finally happened today. Not sure what happened earlier this week. DD played "Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for Me" instead of Small World. Robert the piano player gave her an honorary sticker that says "I tickled the ivories with Robert". Very fun!

That is awesome!!

The Mary Poppins and Bert show is with the Pearly Band, blog entry here. They are in front of the castle and also not listed on the entertainment guide. I don't believe they play every day. I would assume city hall could tell you.
