Well, we all had a fairly fitful sleep last night, and in the end ! was up at 5.15am, which was a respectable 10.15am UK time. Whilst I sorted out the suitcases, Rick tried to get the Internet connection to work, but eventually gave up. He phoned guest services and arranged for a technician to pop in sometime today and fix the problem. After both of us had had showers and some clothes had been put away, we take a walk around the Boardwalk. We got some great shots of the sun rise as well as some much needed exercise.
After collecting a coffee and muffin from the Boardwalk Bakery, we head back to the room for Breakfast. Cereal and muffins on the balcony, watching the hot air balloons passing overhead. Who could ask for more.
The plan for today, is to head on down to Tampa and spend the day at Busch Gardens. The weather report predicts heat of 89F with a good chance of rain in the afternoon.
We leave the Boardwalk at 8.20am and make good time getting down to Tampa and we get to Busch by 9.20am. The car park opens at 9.30am and the park opens at 10.00am. We have a good time on all the thrill and water rides and get to see loads of animals. I get to feed some birds in one of the aviaries and get nipped for my troubles by one of the birds when I try to share the food with the other birds.
Eventually we head on back to Boardwalk at about 3.00pm as we have a date this evening with our friend Chris from the UK.
We get a call from Chris at 7.00pm to say that they were waiting down on the Boardwalk. Hazel and her daughter had reservations for Flying Fish Restaurant and we are dining in the more traditional eatery, the ESPN bar. We had a very enjoyable evening and were back in the room by 10.00pm. Tomorrow, we check out of our room at the Boardwalk and head on down to Port Canaveral and spend the night at the Radisson.
